How To Check Locker Availability in Bank of Baroda?

Online Channel

To check the availability via the online channel, you need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the Bank of Baroda website

Step 2: Click on the ‘Apply Locker Online’ option on the home page.

Step 3: On the next tab, select your state, district, and branch name and click ‘Submit’.

Step 4: The total number of lockers and the available lockers in that branch will be displayed.

Offline Channel

You have to visit your nearest Bank of Baroda branch to check the locker availability offline. Ask the bank officials, and they will inform you if any locker is available or not. If available, they will guide you in completing the further steps for applying for the new locker application. 

Bank of Baroda Locker Eligibility and Documents Required

Before applying for a locker service at your nearest Bank of Baroda branch, it is important to know the eligibility criteria and the documents you need to submit. 

Eligibility

  • Only existing BOB customers can apply for locker service.
  • Lockers can be applied by joint or single holders (minors can not be account holders).
  • NRIs, Trusts, and other Firms can also apply for a locker.

  • Details of a current or BOB savings account

How To Open Locker Facility in Bank of Baroda?

Bank of Baroda allows new applications for lockers on a first-come-first-serve basis. To get a locker from the Bank of Baroda, you have to follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit your nearest BOB branch, where a locker facility is available.

Step 2: Fill out and submit the bank locker registration application. You can even fill out the registration form online after selecting your state, district and branch and clicking on the ‘Register’ button.

Step 3: Complete the KYC formalities with the bank officials after submitting the registration form.

Step 4: Submit the Bank Locker agreement and make a security deposit with BOB.

Once these steps are completed, BOB will issue a locker to you.

How to Close Bank of Baroda Locker?

You can close your locker in the Bank of Baroda by following these steps:

Step 1: Visit your home branch where you have taken a locker facility.

Step 2: Write a letter to the branch manager about the closure request.

Step 3: You have to mention some details in the application, such as your locker number, your mobile number, address, mobile number, etc.

Step 4: Sign the letter and submit it to the respective counter.

After these steps, your branch will start further processes to complete your request. Before closing your locker, you must clear all your outstanding fees (if any). You must also take out all of your belongings from the locker and return the locker's original key to the bank officials. 

Bank of Baroda Locker Rules

These are some of the most important locker rules that you must remember before booking a locker at the Bank of Baroda:

  • Only BOB account holders (savings and current account holders) can book the locker facility. In case you do not have an account, you have to open one before the application.
  • The locker facility is limited, and it is only allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • While applying for a locker, you have to make a security deposit in BOB, which would cover three years of rent and locker breaking charges.
  • In case you have lost the locker key, you must inform the branch as soon as possible. BOB is not responsible for any losses, and the renter will have to pay the key loss charges or locker breaking charges. 
  • If a locker has been inoperative for more than a year, BOB can cancel the allotment even if the rent is fully paid. The bank will give you a notice for security reasons regarding the cancellation of the allotment.
  • You can only access your locker during banking hours. Outside of these times, no one is allowed in the locker room. To maintain your privacy, only one person at a time can enter the locker room.
