You can apply for an encumbrance certificate in Telangana online through the Telangana Registration and Stamps Department website or the MeeSeva portal. You can also apply for it offline by visiting the sub-registrar’s office.

Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ and enter the credentials to log into the website. If you are a first-time user, select ‘User Type’ as ‘Citizen’ and click on the ‘Register’ option to register and log into the website.

Step 4: Go through the relevant information and disclaimers on the next page and click ‘Submit’.
Step 5: Select ‘By Document Number’ or ‘By Property’ option, enter the required details and click ‘Submit’.

Step 3: After logging in, click on ‘Services’ and select ‘Encumbrance Certificate’ option under the ‘Registration and Stamps Department’.
Step 4: Enter the required details and click ‘Submit’.
Step 5: Pay the application fee and get the acknowledgement number.

The fees applicable for issuance of an encumbrance certificate in Telangana for a period of up to 30 years are Rs. 200, and for an EC period of more than 30 years is Rs. 500. A service charge of Rs. 35 must also be paid at the time of submission of the application.
