Step 5: Next, to fetch the approximate fees charged, enter the search period details and click on the ‘Calculate Fee’ option. Your fee amount will soon be displayed in the Fee Details section.

Step 6: Read the declaration and enter the property owner's name in the blank space provided. State the purpose of the certificate and check the ‘I Agree’ button.

Step 7: Further, click on the ‘Submit Application’ button to submit your application form. The next page will display the submission of application form confirmation.

Step 8: Click on the ‘View Acknowledgement’ button, print the slip, and download it for future reference. 

Follow the steps below to apply for your Encumbrance Certificate offline in Kerala:

Step 1: Visit the Sub-Registrar’s office where the property is located. 

Step 2: Collect Form 22 of the Encumbrance Certificate and fill out the form with all relevant details.

Step 3: Attach the required documents along with Form 22 and submit them to the Sub-Registrar’s office.

Step 4: Pay the fees as applicable according to the defined period of encumbrance
