The Kerala government will launch the Kerala free bus travel for women scheme on 15 June 2026 through KSRTC under the Indira Guarantee scheme Kerala initiative. Under Phase 1, eligible women and transgender persons can travel free on designated KSRTC ordinary buses across the state.

Step 1: Board an eligible KSRTC Ordinary Bus from 15 June 2026.

Step 2: Inform the conductor that you are travelling under the free travel scheme.

Step 3: Follow any identification or verification procedure specified in the final operational guidelines.

Step 4: The conductor records the journey using KSRTC's electronic ticketing machine.
