Mobile companies are worried about GST compliances and the technological challenges that will come their way post the GST implementation. Telcos are investing hugely into overhauling and re-configuring their IT and billing systems so that revenues stemming from different sources like roaming, termination charges, and interconnect can be split easily. Industry estimates peg the costs of an overhaul to be about INR 300 crore.
