Speaking at the NITI Aayog’s Governing Council meeting on Sunday, the PM has urged all states to quicken the process of clearing all GST Bills. He also asked for opinions on whether the financial year should be changed from the present April-March structure to December-January.
The NITI Aayog has drafted a 3-year plan for the country which emphasises government reforms and taxes, gives a bigger cut of the budget to health and education, and aims to increase the per capita income of the nation. The NITI Aayog’s aim is to triple India’s gross domestic product (GDP) and per capita income by 2031-32.
