The Election Commission is expected to publish the first supplementary voter list on 22 April 2026 following the settlement of 27 lakh pending records.
- Polling Dates: Elections remain scheduled in two phases for April 23 and April 29, 2026.
- Supplementary List: The supplementary list features voters whose documents are fully verified. Over 2 lakh names are being processed daily to clear the backlog.
- Appeal Process: Voters excluded from the list can file claims and objections through the 19 special tribunals across 23 districts, appeal via the ECI Net app or offline via district or sub-divisional offices.
- Eligibility Rule: Only those confirmed in the Final Roll or Supplementary Lists can vote.
This statewide SIR exercise was carried out to verify and update electoral roll details ahead of the Assembly elections.

Step 1: Visit the West Bengal Electoral Roll page on the NVSP.
Step 2: Choose the Year of Revision as 2026.
Step 3: Select your Roll Type (SIR FinalRoll - 2026), district, assembly constituency, language.
Step 4: Enter the captcha and click 'Download' to get the electoral roll PDF. Search your name or EPIC number within the downloaded file.
West Bengal residents can check their name in the electoral roll on the NVSP portal using their EPIC number, personal details, or registered mobile number.

Step 2: Select 'Search by EPIC' and choose West Bengal as the state.
Step 3: Enter your EPIC number, enter the captcha, and click 'Search'.

To be eligible to register as a voter in West Bengal:
West Bengal residents can apply for a new Voter ID card online through the NVSP or offline at the Electoral Registration Office.
Step 1: Register or log in on the Voter’s Service Portal using your mobile number and OTP.
Step 2: Open Form 6 under the New Voter Registration tab.
Step 3: Fill in personal, address, and family details, and upload the required documents.
Step 4: Submit the application and save the acknowledgement reference number.
Step 1: Collect Form 6 from the Electoral Registration Office or download the form 6 PDF from NVSP.
Step 2: Fill in all required details and attach self-attested copies of age and address proofs.
Step 3: Submit the completed form at the Electoral Registration Office in your constituency and collect the acknowledgement receipt.

Voter ID status can be tracked online after submitting the application using the acknowledgement reference number.
Once the application is approved, the digital Voter ID (e-EPIC) can be downloaded from the NVSP.
Voter ID Address updates can be done online through the NVSP using Form 8, or offline at the Electoral Registration Office.
A duplicate Voter ID can be requested in case of loss or damage by submitting Form 8 or at the nearest Electoral Registration Office.
