    Laws Implemented by the Ministry

    1. Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1955: Prohibits untouchability and ensures civil rights.
    2. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989: Safeguards SC/ST communities from atrocities.
    3. Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007: Ensures care and support for older people.
    4. The Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and Their Rehabilitation Act, 2013: Bans manual scavenging and supports rehabilitation.
