Andhra Bank (now merged with Union Bank of India) allows customers to check balances through traditional methods such as ATMs or physical visits to the bank. However, it also offers the convenience of checking balances through the Andhra Bank balance check number, SMS, net banking, mobile banking, and other services.

The government announced Andhra Bank’s merger with the Union Bank of India. Therefore, any account holder can call the Union Bank balance enquiry numbers to check their account balance:

Different Ways to Check Andhra Bank Account Balance

Andhra Bank offers its customers several ways of checking bank balances, such as SMS banking, online banking, mobile apps, and missed call services. Each of these options provides customers with fast and secure access to accounts, making it more user-friendly.

Missed Call Services for Balance Enquiry

For easy checking of your available Andhra Bank balance, use the Andhra Bank balance enquiry number for missed calls:

  • Dial 9223008586 from your registered mobile number 
  • Disconnect the call in one to two rings, and you will get an SMS stating your account balance details. 

SMS Method for Checking Balance

Andhra Bank offers an SMS-sending facility to its customers. To check the available balance in Andhra Bank, follow the below process: 

  • Type the following SMS on your phone - ‘UBAL<space>Account number’.
  • Send this message to - 09223008486 from your mobile number registered with your bank account.
  • After that, you will receive an SMS with your bank balance details on your registered mobile number.

Net Banking for Andhra Bank

Following the merger of Andhra Bank with Union Bank of India, customers are required to transition to the Indian Bank’s online platform. Follow the process to check your account balance:

  • Visit the Union Bank’s official website.
  • Log into your account using the banking credentials.
  • Click the ‘My Accounts’ section from the homepage.
  • Select the ‘Check Account Balance’ to track your Union Bank of India balance.

ATM Access

The ATM is a convenient option to check your Andhra Bank account balance offline. Visit your nearest Union Bank or any other bank’s ATM with your debit card to check your account balance. 

  • Visit the nearest ATM and insert/swipe the card into the machine.
  • Enter the 4-digit ATM PIN.
  • Select the ‘Balance Enquiry’ option from the screen.
  • Check the bank account balance displayed on the screen.
  • The ATM will also print a receipt that will display the account balance.

WhatsApp Enquiry

Andhra Bank, after merging with the Union Bank of India, started offering its banking services through WhatsApp. To avail this service, follow the below process: 

  • Save the WhatsApp number - 9666606060 in your contact list.
  • Send ‘Hi’ from your registered mobile number through WhatsApp to the bank.
  • You will receive a list of available services.
  • Choose the ‘Account Balance’ option.
  • Your bank balance will be displayed on your WhatsApp chat.

Mobile Banking

Following the merger of Andhra Bank with Union Bank of India, customers must download the Union Bank of India's mobile banking application to check their balance. Here’s the process to check the balance:

  • Download the Vyom mobile application through the Play Store or the App Store.
  • Access your account with your credentials or MPIN.
  • Your dashboard will open after verification.
  • Select ‘My Account’ and click the ‘View Account Balance’ option to check the current balance in your bank account.

Passbook

Andhra Bank provides a passbook as a component of the welcome kit. Regular updates to the Andhra Bank passbook are necessary to check the account balance. Account holders can visit their nearest bank branch to update their passbooks. Once updated, the passbook will display the latest account balance along with a complete list of recent transactions. 

UPI Services

UPI is a system that enables the linking of multiple bank accounts into a single mobile application. Linking bank account numbers with UPI services enables access to instant balance inquiries and fund transfer facilities. 

Here’s how to check bank balance from UPI:

  • Open any UPI application on your smartphone.
  • Enter the security code to unlock the app.
  • Link the Andhra Bank account for which you want to check the balance.
  • Click the ‘Check Account Balance’ option.
  • Enter the UPI PIN.
  • The screen will display your account balance. 

USSD Code Dialing

To find out the available balance in your Andhra Bank account using a USSD code, dial *99*59# from your registered mobile number and follow the instructions. Your current balance will appear on your mobile screen.
