What is a DSC?
The electronic format of physical or paper certificate like a driving License, passport etc.
It can be presented electronically to prove your identity, to access information or services on the internet or to sign certain documents digitally.
Why do I need a digital signature?
Authenticates one’s identity electronically

Are contracts signed digitally legally valid?
Yes, businesses can sign contracts digitally in India and they are enforceable in the Indian court of law.
As per Information Technology Act 2000 in India, Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) are legally valid in India.
Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) are issued by licensed Certifying Authorities under the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India as per the Information Technology Act.
Where can I apply for DSC?
Legally valid Digital Signature Certificates (DSC) are issued only through a Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), Govt. of India & licensed Registration Authorities (RA)

Tax invoice, credit note and debit note
Bill of supply, Receipt Voucher, Refund voucher, Payment Voucher and Delivery Challan
Register of transactions (Sauda book), Contract Notes
HR Related Document – Offer Letter, Appointment letter, Experience Letter, Form 16 etc.
Finance & Procurement – Vendor and Customer Agreements
Any other document which needs Authentication
