Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), formerly known as the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, is a Central Sector employment scheme that provides financial incentives to first-time employees and employers generating additional jobs.
The scheme came into effect on 1 August 2025 and covers eligible employment created between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2027. The PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana aims to formalise India's workforce, expand social security coverage, and encourage sustained employment generation.

The employee incentive under PM-VBRY benefits is equivalent to one month's EPF wage, subject to a maximum benefit of ₹15,000. The PM-VBRY benefits amount is released in two installments to encourage continued employment and financial inclusion.

The PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana registration process under PM-VBRY differs for employees and employers.
Step 1: Download the UMANG app and generate or activate your Universal Account Number (UAN) using Aadhaar Face Authentication.
Step 2: Link your Aadhaar with your bank account to receive incentive payments through the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS).
Step 3: Join an EPFO-registered establishment and provide your Aadhaar and UAN details to the employer.
Step 4: Complete at least 6 months of continuous employment to become eligible for the first installment under the scheme.
Step 5: Complete 12 months of continuous service and the prescribed financial literacy programme to receive the second installment.
