www.mca.gov.in is the government’s official Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) website and is also known as the MCA portal. This portal facilitates numerous services for the companies and LLPs, starting from incorporation of a company/LLP to closure of a company/LLP.
It is a one-stop point for finding all information related to companies/LLPs which can be easily accessed by companies, LLPs, regulatory authorities, directors, partners, professionals and the public. This article covers all about the MCA portal and the list of services provided in it.

The Acts & Rules tab looks like:
My Workspace
The person who intends to use the MCA portal services has to register either as a registered user or as a business user.
- A registered user can access the basic e-services of MCA portal. The users under this category have to use a ‘Password’ for logging in.
- A business user can access additional functionalities apart from basic e-services which are available to a registered user. The users under this category have to hold a ‘DSC’ for logging in. These services can be availed by the practising members of ICAI/ICSI/ICWAI and individuals related to companies.
The person has to submit the user and contact details; he/she also has to create the login details in the below format for a new registration:
Once the user registers on the MCA portal, he/she will be able to access “My Workspace” tab using the username and password.

The following services can be availed after logging in:
- Upload e-forms
- Make payments
- Annual e-filing
In the upload, e-forms window users can submit either a fresh ROC form or resubmit the already submitted ROC form after making required changes. The window will look like this:
