How to Open Aadhaar Card PDF File Password?

After the successful download of your e-Aadhaar, you will notice that the PDF file is password protected. To open this file, you need to follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Double-click the downloaded e-Aadhaar PDF file to open it.

Step 2: When prompted, enter the password.

Step 3: Your Aadhaar card open password = First 4 letters of your name (in uppercase) + Birth year (YYYY).

If your name is Alia Chaudhary and birth year is 1980, your password will be ALIA1980.

How to Download Aadhaar Card with Password?

To download an Aadhaar card, you need to follow the steps below:

Step 1: Visit UIDAI's official website.

Step 2: Navigate to ‘My Aadhaar’ and click on ‘Download Aadhaar’ under ‘Get Aadhaar’ section.

Step 3: Select and enter your Aadhaar number, Virtual ID (VID) number, Enrolment ID (EID) number or Service ID (SID) number.

Step 4: Enter the captcha code and click ‘Send OTP’. 

Step 5: Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 6: Select if you want a masked Aadhaar, then click ‘Verify and Download’.

Step 7: The PDF of your e-Aadhaar will be automatically downloaded on your device.

Step 8: Open the downloaded PDF file and enter your Aadhaar card password (first 4 letters of your name + birth year).

Step 9: View or take a printout of your e-Aadhaar card.

How to Print e-Aadhaar Card?

After you complete the download of your e-Aadhaar card PDF from the UIDAI’s website, you can take a printout of your e-Aadhaar card using the Aadhaar card password. Follow the steps below to take a printout of your e-Aadhaar card:

Step 1: Open the downloaded e-Aadhaar PDF file using any PDF reader on your device, such as Adobe Acrobat.

Step 2: Enter the 8-digit Aadhaar card password (first 4 letters of your name + birth year) to view the e-Aadhaar card.

Step 3: On the e-Aadhaar card PDF file, choose the ‘Print’ option and click on ‘Print’.
