Modes Available for Making Payment After Generation of Challan

- Payment through Net Banking: Taxpayеrs can use this option only with authorised banks. If your bank is not an authorised bank, RTGS/NEFT or Payment Gateway mode can be selected for tax payment.
- Paymеnt through Debit card (of Authorised Banks): Taxpayеrs may pay using the Debit card of authorised banks.
- Payment through Pay at Bank Counter: Taxpayers can also pay at the bank counter provided that the amount is below Rs.10,000. This mode cannot be used by a Company or a person to whom the provisions of Section 44AB of the Income-tax Act,1961, are applicable.
- Payment through RTGS/NEFT: Taxpayers can use this mode of payment to pay from any bank account. However, NEFT/RTGS may be applicable as per RBI’s guidelines and the Bank’s policy.
- Payment through Payment Gateway including UPI and Credit Card: This payment mode offers various options to taxpayers, such as Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, and UPI. The chosen payment gateway will redirect to its page upon selection, presenting available options. Transaction charges, if applicable, are additional to the tax amount.
