The Assam Labour Welfare Department issues notifications to update the minimum wage rates and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) applicable to workers. For wage calculation, employees in Assam are categorised into four main groups: unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled workers.
