The Delhi Government fixes the minimum wages for workers once every six months. It fixes the minimum wages based on the six-month average index numbers of January to June and July to December every year. Thus, the wages are revised from 1 April and 1 October, respectively.
The minimum wages in Delhi vary depending on the workers’ skills, such as skilled, unskilled, and semi-skilled workers. Additionally, there are three more subgroups of workers, namely clerical and supervisory staff (non-matriculate), clerical and supervisory staff (matriculates but not graduates) and clerical and supervisory staff (graduates and above).
The minimum wages in Delhi have been revised and are effective from 1 October 2024. The following table mentions the current Delhi government minimum wages for employees categorised based on their skill levels:

A skilled labourer is classified as one who can work efficiently and has a thorough knowledge of the industry in which he is employed. The table below depicts the minimum wages in Delhi for skilled labour:
