SBI Mobile Banking Registration

For those without existing Internet Banking credentials, registering for SBI Mobile Banking is a straightforward process using your ATM card and registered mobile number. Within the mobile banking application, simply select the "New User Registration" option. You'll then be guided through a series of steps, which include entering your account number, CIF number, ATM card details, and completing any necessary verification procedures.

SBI Mobile Banking Activation

Once your registration is approved, you'll receive an activation code via SMS on your registered mobile number. To proceed, send an SMS with the text <MBSREG> to either 9223440000 or 567676. You will then receive a User ID and a default MPIN (Mobile Personal Identification Number) via SMS. Enter this User ID and default MPIN within the SBI mobile banking app to finalize the activation. You'll then be prompted to set your own personalized login MPIN, after which you'll have full access to all the active features of SBI mobile banking.

SBI Mobile Banking Login

Prerequisites:

  • SBI Mobile Banking App: Download the YONO SBI or YONO Lite SBI app from your app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
  • Internet Banking Credentials: You must have your existing username and password for SBI's Internet banking (net banking) service.

Steps:

Step 1: Locate the SBI YONO or YONO Lite app on your phone and tap to open it.

Step 2: Enter your Internet banking username and Internet banking password.

Step 3: Tap the "Login" or "Submit" button.

Step 4: You may receive a One-Time Password (OTP) to your registered mobile number for additional security. Enter this OTP in the designated field.

Step 5: Once your credentials (and OTP if needed) are verified, you will be logged in to your SBI mobile banking app.

How to Activate Mobile Banking in SBI?

Via SMS

 Step 1: From your registered mobile number, send an SMS with text MBSREG to 9223440000 or 567676.
 Step 2: Receive an SMS containing your temporary User ID and default MPIN.
 Step 3: Download the SBI YONO or YONO Lite SBI app from your app store.
 Step 4: Open the app and log in using the provided User ID and default MPIN.
 Step 5: When prompted, change the default MPIN to a secure, personal MPIN of your choice.

Via SBI ATM

Step 1: Insert your SBI debit card into any SBI ATM.
Step 2: Select “Mobile Registration” on the ATM screen.
Step 3: Choose “Mobile Banking Registration.”
Step 4: Enter and confirm your registered mobile number.
Step 5: Wait for SMS confirmation indicating successful registration.

Via Branch Visit

 Step 1: Visit your home SBI branch.
 Step 2: Request the Mobile Banking Registration Form at the help desk.
 Step 3: Complete the form with your account details and mobile number to be linked.
 Step 4: Submit the form along with any required ID proof.
 Step 5: Receive SMS confirmation once the bank processes your request.

SBI Mobile Banking Password Reset

If you happen to forget your SBI mobile banking MPIN (password), you can easily reset it directly through the app. Simply tap the "Forgot MPIN" (or "Forgot Password") option and follow the on-screen instructions. The process will typically require you to provide your account details and, for verification purposes, potentially your ATM card details, along with answering some security questions.
