Step 4: Your request will be registered, and you will receive a token or reference number on your email ID 

Step 5: Select the options you want to update (name, father's name, date of birth, gender, address, contact information).

Step 6: Enter the updated details and other required details and upload the documents. 

Step 7: Pay the required fees and submit the application. 

Step 8: You will receive an acknowledgement number. Note down the number since it will be required to check the status of the correction application.

How to Apply for PAN Card Correction Offline?

You can also get the details changed/corrected in your PAN card offline. Follow the below steps to apply for PAN card correction offline:

Step 1: Download the ‘Request For Changes Or Correction in PAN Data’ application from. 

Step 2:  Fill in the details in the application. 

Step 3: Attach your signature and photograph to the application. 

Step 4:  Submit the form and the required documents to the nearest PAN centre.

Step 5: Pay the fees for PAN card update/correction. 

Step 6: You will get the acknowledgement number from which you can track the status of your PAN card update application.

• Authorised signatory, in the case of Association of Persons (AOP), Body of Individuals (BOI), local authority and artificial juridical person
• Partner, in the case of a partnership firm or Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
• Trustee, in the case of a trust
• Representative assessee, in the case of a minor

The fee for submitting the PAN card correction form physically is ₹110 (₹1,020 for foreign addresses). For online correction with e-PAN delivery via email, the fee is ₹66–₹72.

How to Check PAN Card Correction Status?

You can check the status of your PAN card correction application online by following the below steps:

Step 1: Go to the Protean website or the UTIITSL website.

Step 2: Enter the ‘Acknowledgement Number’ or ‘Application Number’ and Captcha code and click ‘Submit’.

The status of the correction application will be displayed on the screen.
