The voting for the Lok Sabha election 2024 has started. Polling for the 18th General Election is being conducted in seven phases between April 19 and June 1. Navigate to the ECI Website:
Access the Elector Menu:
- On the home page, locate and click on the “Elector menu” tab.
Search for Your Name:
- Within the Elector menu, select the option labelled “Search your name in the electoral roll”.
Enter Search Details:
- To locate your name on the electoral roll, you can enter your EPIC number or Voter ID in the provided search fields.
Alternative Search Options:
- If you do not have your EPIC number or Voter ID handy, you can still perform the search using alternative details:
- Your registered phone number.
- Personal information such as your date of birth, district, assembly area, and details about a relative.
Procedure to View Name in PDF Electoral Roll
- Step 1: Visit the website of Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand
- Step 2: Click on ‘Voter Services”.
- Now on voter service portal, Click on “Search in Electoral Roll”
- Step 3: Use your EPIC number or Voter ID to search for your name in the list.
- Step 4: If you don't have your EPIC with you, you can still search for your name using other options like your phone number or personal details.
- Step 5: You can use other details such as your date of birth, the district you're in, your assembly area, and details about a relative to find your name on the voter list.
How to Apply for Jharkhand Voter ID Card Online?
- Step 1: Visit the National Voters' Services Portal (NVSP).
- Step 2: Click on the ‘Sign-Up’ option available on the top right corner of the homepage.
- Step 3: Enter your mobile number, email ID and captcha code and click ‘Continue’.
- Step 4: Enter your ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’, ‘Password’, ‘Confirm Password’, and click the ‘Request OTP’ button.
- Step 5: Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number and email ID and click ‘Verify’.
- Step 6: Log in to the Voters' Services portal by clicking the ‘Login’ button, entering your mobile number, password, and captcha and clicking the ‘Request OTP’ button.
- Step 7: Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number and click the ‘Verify & Login’ button.
- Step 8: Click the ‘Fill Form 6’ button under the ‘New registration for general electors’ tab.
- Step 9: Enter all the details on Form 6, which includes personal details, relatives details, contact details, Aadhaar details, date of birth, address, and declaration. Upload the required documents in the given sections and click the ‘Preview and Submit’ button.
- Step 10: Check if the entered details are correct and click ‘Submit’.
How to Apply for Voter ID Card in Jharkhand Offline?
- Step 1: Visit your nearest Electoral Office and request Form 6.
- Step 2: Enter all the details on Form 6.

- Water, electricity or gas connection bill not older than one year
- Current passbook of Nationalised bank, Scheduled bank or post office
- Revenue Department’s Land Owning records, including Kisan Bahi
- Registered rent or lease deed (In case of tenant)

Eligibility to apply for Voter ID card in Jharkhand
- Indian citizens who have reached the age of 18 by January 1st of the year in which the electoral roll is updated are eligible to vote. This date serves as the qualifying cutoff for determining voter eligibility.

- Visit the official National Voter Services’ Portal.
- Click the 'Login' button.
- Input your mobile number, password, and captcha code; then click the 'Request OTP' button.
- Enter the received OTP and click the 'Verify and Login' button.
- Select the 'Track Application Status' tab.
- Enter the reference number, select "State as Jharkhand," and click the 'Submit' button.
- Your voter registration status will be displayed on the screen.
- Note: The reference ID is on the acknowledgement slip received upon submitting the voter registration application.
How to Download the Jharkhand Voter ID Card Online?
Step 1: Visit the Portal
- Go to the official National Voter Services’ Portal to start the process.
Step 2: Initiate Login
- Click on the ‘Login’ button located typically at the top right corner of the page.
Step 3: Authenticate
- Enter your login credentials followed by the OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your registered mobile number to securely log in.
Step 4: Access e-EPIC Services
- Once logged in, click on the ‘E-EPIC Download’ tab which you can find on the homepage.
Step 5: Choose Identification Method
- Select whether you wish to proceed by entering your ‘EPIC No.’ or ‘Form Reference No.’
Step 6: Search Your Record
- Input either your EPIC number or the reference ID number. Make sure to select 'Jharkhand' as the State and then click on the ‘Search’ button.
Step 7: Request OTP
- Your Voter ID details will be displayed. Click on the ‘Send OTP’ button. Please ensure that your mobile number is updated in the NVSP records. If necessary, update your mobile number by submitting ‘Form 8’ on the NVSP website.

How to Update Address in Voter ID in Jharkhand Online?
- Log in to the official National Voters Services Portal.
- Navigate to the 'Shifting of Residence/Correction of Entries in Existing Electoral Roll' section on the homepage.
- Click on 'Form 8' to be redirected to a new page; enter required details.
- Choose the option 'Self' and click 'Submit'.
- Select 'Shifting of Residence', then choose either 'Within Assembly Constituency' or 'Outside Assembly Constituency' and click 'Ok'.
- Select your 'State, District, and Assembly/Parliamentary Constituency' and click 'Next'.
- Provide your Aadhaar number, email, and mobile number, then click 'Next'.
- Input your new address and the required supporting documents.
- Upload the supporting document and click 'Next'.
- Complete the declaration, enter the captcha code, and click 'Submit'.
- The Election Commission of India will then process your request, and, upon approval, update your Voter ID card accordingly.
How to Update Address in Voter ID in Jharkhand offline?
- Go to your nearest Electoral Office.
- Request and collect Form 8.
- Fill in all the required information on Form 8.
- Submit Form 8, along with proof of residence document, to the nearest Electoral Office.
- Wait for your application to be processed and verified.
- Once your details are confirmed, you will receive a new Voter ID card.
How to Apply for Jharkhand Duplicate Voter ID Card Online/ Offline?
Step 1: Obtain Form EPIC-002
- Visit the Election Commission of India's website to download 'Form EPIC-002', or collect a physical copy from your nearest Electoral Office.
Step 2: Fill Out the Form
- Complete 'Form EPIC-002' with all necessary details, including your name, age, relative’s name, address, and EPIC details.
Step 3: Submit the Form
- Attach required documents such as a copy of your Aadhaar card and an FIR, among others, to your completed form. Submit this form at your nearest Electoral Office.
After the processing and verification of the application, you will receive a notification to collect your duplicate Voter ID card from your local Electoral Office.
