How to Check Your Voter ID Card Details Online?

You can check your Voter ID card details online by following the steps below:

Step 1: Visit the National Voter’s Service Portal (NVSP) portal.

Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ and enter your credentials to log into the NVSP portal.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Search in Electoral Roll’ option available on the home page. 

Step 4: On the next tab, select ‘Search by Details’, ‘Search by EPIC’ or ‘Search by Mobile’.

Step 5: Select the state and language, enter the required details, and captcha code and click ‘Search’.

Step 6: The voter details will be displayed on the screen. Click on ‘View Details’ under the ‘Action’ column to view all details of your Voter ID card.

How to Make Changes to Your Details in the Voter ID?

It is necessary to ensure all the information entered during Voter ID card registration is accurate. Any errors in information, including address, name, and date of birth, might cause inconvenience in the future. Here is the process to change details on your Voter ID card:

Changing Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Photo or Relation Type in Voter ID Card

Here is a detailed step-by-step guide on how to change your personal details on the Voter ID card:

Step 1: Visit the National Voter’s Service Portal (NVSP) portal.

Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ and enter your credentials to log into the NVSP portal.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Fill Form 8’ option under the ‘Shifting of residence/ correction of entries in existing electoral roll’ tab.

Step 4: Select ‘Self’. Your EPIC number will be displayed on the screen. Click ‘Submit’.

Step 5: Your Voter details will be displayed. Click ‘OK’. Next, select the ‘Correction of Entries in Existing Electoral Roll’ and click ‘Ok’.

Step 6: Enter the required information on Form 8, including your state, district and assembly or parliamentary constituency, Aadhaar number, mobile number and email ID. Select the details to be changed in your Voter ID, such as name, gender, date of birth, relation type, relatives’ name, mobile number or photo. 

Step 7: Upload the supporting document proof for the requested change.

 Step 8: Enter the declaration and captcha code and click ‘Preview and Submit’.

Step 9: Preview the filled Form 8 and click ‘Submit’.

Changing Address in Voter ID Card

Here is a detailed step-by-step guide on how to change your address on the Voter ID card:

Step 1: Visit the National Voter’s Service Portal (NVSP) portal.

Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ and enter your credentials to log into the NVSP portal.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Fill Form 8’ option under the ‘Shifting of residence/ correction of entries in existing electoral roll’ tab.

Step 4: Select ‘Self’. Your EPIC number will be displayed on the screen. Click ‘Submit’.

Step 5: Your Voter details will be displayed. Click ‘OK’. Next, select the ‘Shifting of Residence’ option, select ‘Within Assembly Constituency’ or ‘Outside Assembly Constituency’ and click ‘Ok’.

Step 6: Fill out Form 8 with all the required details. Select the state, district and assembly or parliamentary constituency. Next, enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number and email. Next, enter your new address and upload the address proof document. Enter the declaration and captcha code and click ‘Preview and Submit’.

Step 7: Preview the filled Form 8 and click ‘Submit’.
