The voting for the Lok Sabha election in 2024 has started. Polling for the 18th General Election is being conducted in seven phases between April 19 and June 1.

A Voter List is the list of all the voters residing in a particular constituency or ward. This list is maintained and updated by the Election Commission of India through its regional offices. If your name is on the voter list, only then are you allowed to cast your vote. Such is the significance of the voter list that if your name is on it, you do not need a Voter ID card to cast your vote. You can take any valid proof of identity issued by the Government and cast your vote.
A Voter list contains records (name, age, sex, father’s/husband’s name, address, and serial number) of people who are eligible to vote, i.e., voter ID holders or applicants. This list is prepared and made available to everyone much before the election is conducted.
Apart from the mentioned details, the electoral district and polling station assigned to each voter are also included in the Voter list. Eligible voters and first-time applicants can access the Voter list either online on the official NVSP website or offline by visiting an election booth.

Step 2: Select the state, district, assembly constituency and language and enter the captcha code.
Step 3: Scroll down to view the polling station details. Click on the blue arrow against your part details to download the Voter list.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Search in Electoral Roll’ tab on the homepage.
Step 3: Select any one of the options - ‘Search by Details’, ‘Search by EPIC’ or ‘Search by Mobile’.
Step 4: Enter the required information and captcha code and click ‘Search’.
Step 5: The system will provide your details. You can further check if your details are correct by clicking on ‘View Details’ under the ‘Action’ column.
However, if the system shows no record found, it means that your Voter ID verification has been unsuccessful. In this case, you will have to get in touch with the state election office to resolve the issue.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Search in Electoral Roll’ tab on the homepage.
Step 3: Select the option ‘Search by Details’.

Step 5: Enter your name, relative’s name, date of birth, and gender, select your location details, enter the captcha code and click the ‘Search’ button.
Step 6: The system will provide your details. You can further check if your details are correct by clicking on ‘View Details’ under the ‘Action’ column.
Follow the steps below to check whether your name is on the Voter list through the ‘Search by Mobile’ option:
Step 1: Log in to the official NVSP website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Search in Electoral Roll’ tab on the homepage.
Step 3: Select the ‘Search by Mobile’ option.
Step 4: Select your state and language.
Step 5: Enter your mobile number and captcha code and click ‘Send OTP’.
Step 6: Enter the OTP received on your mobile number and click the ‘Search’ button.
Step 7: The system will provide your details. You can further check if your details are correct by clicking on ‘View Details’ under the ‘Action’ column.
Follow the steps below to check whether your name is on the Voter list through the ‘Search by EPIC number’ option:
Step 1: Log in to the official NVSP website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Search in Electoral Roll’ tab on the homepage.
Step 3: Select the ‘Search by EPIC’ option.
Step 4: Select your state and language.
Step 5: Enter your EPIC number (Voter ID number), select state, enter the captcha code and click the ‘Search’ button.
Step 6: The system will provide your details. You can further check if your details are correct by clicking on ‘View Details’ under the ‘Action’ column.
