GST Collections for June 2024

The GST collections for June 2024 is approximately ₹1.74 lakh crore as per the media report dated 1st July 2024. 

As per another media report, the montly GST collections is 7.7% greater than collections made in June 2023. Average GST collections for the financial year-till-date i.e., April-June 2024 works out to Rs.1.86 lakh crore. It is the highest so far since GST was introduced.

However, the news report has further mentioned that going forward, the Finance Ministry will not release the monthly detailed GST collection data on day 1 of every month. This practice is discontinued for 74 months. The Ministry has not provided any reason for discontinuing the monthly GST collection data release. We will provide here the detailed report if it gets published by the PIB.

The gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue for May 2024 amounted to ₹1.73 lakh crore.
