PNB Net Banking: Registration, Login, Activation, Customer Care Details

  • With the help of a net banking facility, customers can transfer funds within another PNB bank account or with third-party bank accounts. 
  • It allows customers to open or close Fixed/Recurring Deposit accounts online and modify the banking instructions applicable to these accounts. 
  • While branches can only facilitate inter-bank fund transfers during banking hours, PNB net banking enables customers to perform such transactions even on bank holidays and weekends. 
  • Through the PNB net banking portal, you can conveniently settle utility bills and credit card payments or even meet direct and indirect tax obligations seamlessly online.

PNB Net Banking Registration

You need to first register for the PNB net banking portal to access it. The registration process for PNB net banking differs for retail and corporate customers. Let us delve into the detailed procedures for each category.

Retail Users 

Follow the below steps to register as a retail customer for PNB net banking: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of Punjab National Bank

Step 2: Click on ‘Internet Banking’ and select ‘Retail Internet Banking’.

Step 3: Click on ‘New User?’.

Step 4: Select either the ‘Register with debit card’ or ‘Register with Aadhaar OTP’ option.

Step 5: Enter the Account Number, Date of Birth or PAN Card Number and select the Registration Type, i.e., only Internet Banking or both Internet and Mobile Banking.

Step 6: Enter the OTP received on your mobile number registered with the bank.

Step 7: Enter the debit card number and PIN if you have selected the ‘Register with debit card’ option. Enter the Aadhaar number, generate the Aadhaar OTP and enter the OTP if you have selected the ‘Register with Aadhaar OTP’ option.

Step 8: Select the Type of Facility, i.e., View Only or View and Transaction.

Step 9: Set the Login and transaction passwords. 

Once the passwords are set, a successful registration message and the User ID will be displayed on the screen. Note down the User ID. Using this user ID, you will be able to login in future. 

Corporate Users

Follow the below steps to register as a corporate user for PNB net banking: 

Step 1: Visit the Punjab National Bank website

Step 2: Scroll down and click ‘Internet Banking’.

Step 3: Click on the ‘PNB-1212 (Corporate)’ form to download it. 

Step 4: Take a printout of the form and fill it up.

Step 5: Visit the nearest PNB branch along with the form and submit it to a bank representative. 

The bank representative will process your registration application. Upon successful registration, you will receive a corporate ID, Admin User ID and password. 

How to Activate PNB Net Banking? 

Retail Users 

PNB net banking will be activated for retail users immediately upon registration through the official website of Punjab National Bank (as provided in the above section).

However, retail users will get the User ID and password, if they apply for PNB net banking registration through any of the following ways:

  • By submitting the ‘PNB -1063(Retail)’ form to the PNB bank branch.
  • Requesting for net banking registration through PNB ATM.
  • Calling the toll-free numbers - 1800-1800, 1800-2021 and 0120-2490000. 

Once you receive the User ID, you need to visit the bank to activate the PNB net banking facility. Once the bank confirms that the net banking facility is activated, you can log in using the User ID and password.

Corporate Users 

The following steps provide the PNB net banking activation for corporate customers after they receive the corporate ID, Administrator ID and password:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Punjab National Bank

Step 2: Click on ‘Internet Banking’ and select ‘Corporate Internet Banking’.

Step 3: Enter the corporate ID and admin user ID and click ‘Proceed’.

Step 4: Type the login password and click ‘Login’.

Step 5: Enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number of the Admin user. 

Step 6: A list of security questions will be displayed on your screen. Answer at least 7 of them and click ‘Register’.

Step 7: Select an image and provide a relevant phrase as directed by the on-screen instructions.

Step 8: Click on ‘Submit’ to activate the PNB Bank net banking account. 

Documents Required for PNB Net Banking

No documents are required to access the PNB net banking platform. However, you will require the following details:

  • Bank account details
  • Debit card details
  • Aadhaar number

PNB Net Banking Login

The PNB net banking login procedure varies for retail and corporate customers. Let us discuss both procedures in detail. 

Retail Users 

Step 1: Visit the official website of Punjab National Bank

Step 2: Click on ‘Internet Banking’ and select ‘Retail Internet Banking’. 

Step 3: Enter your ‘User ID’ and click ‘Continue’.

Step 4: Enter your ‘Password’ and click ‘Login’. 

Corporate Users 

Step 1: Visit the official website of Punjab National Bank

Step 2: Click on ‘Internet Banking’ and select ‘Corporate Internet Banking’. 

Step 3: Enter your ‘Corporate ID’ and ‘User ID’ and click ‘Continue’.

Step 4: Enter your ‘Password’ and click ‘Login’.

In case you have forgotten or lost your PNB net banking password, you can easily retrieve it by generating a new one through the bank's official website:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Punjab National Bank

Step 2: Click on ‘Internet Banking’ and select ‘Retail Internet Banking’. 

Step 3: Enter your user ID and click on ‘Continue’. 

Step 4: Click on the ‘Forgot Password?’ option located at the bottom of your screen. 

Step 5: Enter your user ID, date of birth or PAN card number and click on ‘Submit’. 

Step 6: Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and click ‘Continue’. 

Step 7: Enter your account number and click ‘Verify’. 

Step 8: Enter your debit card number, linked bank account number and ATM PIN and click on ‘Continue’. 

Step 9: Set a new login/transaction password and click on ‘Continue’. 

A new login/transaction password will be set for your further use. 

How to Open a PNB Account Online? 

Follow the given below steps to open a PNB bank account via the online net banking platform:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Punjab National Bank

Step 2: Click on ‘Internet Banking’ and select ‘Retail Internet Banking’. 

Step 3: Enter your ‘User ID’ and click ‘Continue’. Next, enter your ‘Password’ and click ‘Login’. 

Step 4: Click on the ‘Manage Accounts’ tab and select the type of account you want to open.

Step 5: Agree to the terms and conditions, enter the required details and click on ‘Submit’. 

Once you go through the above-mentioned steps, the bank will activate the account you want to open. However, this activation process might take around 3-5 working days. 

How to Check Balance Through PNB Net Banking? 

To check your balance through PNB net banking, follow the given below steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Punjab National Bank

Step 2: Click on ‘Internet Banking’ and select ‘Retail Internet Banking’. 

Step 3: Enter your ‘User ID’ and click ‘Continue’. Next, enter your ‘Password’ and click ‘Login’. 

Step 4: Click on the ‘Account Summary’ option.

Your screen will automatically display the existing balance in your PNB account.
