The Haryana State Government is implementing an innovative programme known as Haryana Parivar Pehchan Patra Yojana or Haryana PPP Family ID. This programme aims to streamline families in Haryana across all districts and enhance citizens’ quality of life by facilitating their access to a wide range of governmental schemes and services.

A Family ID serves as a unique identifier of a database that comprehensively outlines all the information of a citizen’s family. This card was introduced to facilitate Central and State Government bodies in automatically determining applicants’ eligibility for welfare schemes and benefits. Each family residing in a particular state will be allotted this card by the State Government.
Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), or PPP Family ID, is an initiative by the Haryana Government to maintain a verified and reliable database containing comprehensive family information within the state. Each family intending to avail of any government scheme benefit in Haryana is required to submit their basic details and consent to authorised bodies for recording such information in digital format. Upon completion of this process, families are allocated an 8-digit Family ID.

Step 2: Enter your Aadhaar number and click ‘Check’.
Step 3: Enter the OTP sent to the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card and click on ‘Search’.

Any family intending to avail of any benefit under a government scheme in Haryana must apply for a PPP. Thus, there are two categories of families that are eligible for Parivar Pehchan Patra registration, which are:
Any family that is currently residing in Haryana is eligible for Parivar Pehchan Patra registration. These families are allotted an 8-digit Family ID number permanently.
The State Government assigns temporary Family IDs of 9 digits starting with the letter "T" to applicants who live outside Haryana but wish to apply for a state-issued service or scheme. These applicants fall under the category of temporary families.
While there is an online portal for Parivar Pehchan Patra Yojana, citizens cannot directly register on it. Individuals must visit the Common Service Centers, Saral Kendras or PPP operators to apply for a Parivar Pehchan Patra registration. Following this, they need to provide their family details to an operator who fills in the portal. After successful verification and approval, the operator issues a unique Family ID to the applicant.
When filling out the Parivar Pehchan Patra form, you need to start with the main candidate details, including your Aadhaar number, first name and last name. If you have a middle name, it should be filled in the designated box along with your last name.
Following the main section, you need to provide your personal details in the next section. This includes your particulars such as your age, date of birth and gender. Further, you have to specify your parents’ names and other details such as caste, marital status, and voter ID number. Then, you have to provide your bank details, including your bank account type and the IFSC code. Once you have filled in all the required details, you need to upload or attach supporting documents with the form.

Individuals can conveniently update PPP Family ID details using either self-update mode or assisted mode.
In this mode, you need to visit the official Parivar Pehchan Patra website and click on ‘Update Family Details’ to update your PPP Family ID details.
Alternatively, you can visit your nearest CSC, Saral Kendra or PPP Operators to update your PPP Family ID details. This process of updating details is known as the assisted mode, where an operator edits the previous details on behalf of an individual.
In case the mobile number that is registered with your Family ID is lost or switched off, you can update a new mobile number in your Family ID. Here’s how to do so:
Step 1: Visit the official website of Parivar Pehchan Patra.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Citizen Corner’ tab on the main menu.
Step 3: Choose ‘Update Mobile Number’ from the list of options.
Step 4: Enter your registered Aadhaar Number and new mobile numbers and click on ‘Validate’.
Step 5: An OTP will be sent to your new mobile number.
Step 6: Enter it carefully and verify before clicking on ‘Update’.
Once you go through the above steps, you will find that your new mobile number will be registered with Family ID instead of the old one.
