You can use the UPI QR cash facility to withdraw money from ATMs across India without using cards. Some banks also offer ATM cash functionality through mobile banking or net banking portals. You need to be logged in on the mobile app or net banking portal to opt for this facility.

When it comes to finances, security is the top priority for any individual. Every cardless transaction is designed to be safe and secure, allowing you to not worry about fraud. As every transaction requires the bank’s mobile app and confirmation of transactions via OTP (One-Time Password), it leaves little chance for fraud. Moreover, you may find it difficult to withdraw cash with a card after regular banking hours. This is when cardless cash withdrawal will help you.
The cardless cash withdrawal facility allows you to withdraw a maximum of Rs. 10,000 within the existing daily UPI transaction limits and conditions of your bank. However, you must understand that this limit differs from one financial institution to another.
Follow this step-by-step guide to withdraw money from an ATM without an ATM card through UPI:
Step 1: Visit the nearest UPI-enabled ATM and select the ‘UPI Cash Withdrawal’ option from the menu.
Step 2: The machine will display the ‘QR Code’.
Step 3: Use any UPI application from your smartphone to scan the QR code.
Step 4: Enter the amount you want to withdraw and click the ‘Proceed’ button.
Step 5: Enter the UPI PIN to complete your cardless cash withdrawal process from the ATM.
Step 6: The machine will dispense the required cash.
You can withdraw money from an ATM card without a PIN by adding a beneficiary to your account. However, the steps to withdraw money from an ATM without PIN may vary from one bank to another. The general steps are as follows:
Step 1: Open your bank’s net banking portal and log in to your account using the credentials.
Step 2: Select the ‘Add Beneficiary’ option and choose ‘Cardless Cash Withdrawal’.
Step 3: Enter the beneficiary’s details and click the ‘Add’ button.
Step 4: Recheck the details and click the ‘Confirm’ button.
Step 5: Enter the OTP received in your registered mobile number to complete the process.
Step 6: After 30 minutes, the beneficiary status will be activated on your account.
Step 7: Log in to your bank’s net banking portal. Click on ‘Fund Transfer’ and select ‘Cardless Cash Withdrawal’.
Step 8: Select the bank account and enter the withdrawal amount.
Step 9: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number to place the request.
Step 10: Once the request is successful, the beneficiary will receive a 4-digit OTP and a unique 6-digit or 9-digit code.
Step 11: The beneficiary must visit the nearest ATM of the preferred bank and choose the ‘Cardless Cash’ option.
Step 12: Enter the details, such as the 4-digit OTP, 6-digit or 9-digit code, beneficiary’s mobile number, and transaction amount.
Step 13: Once the machine validates the details, it will dispense the cash.
The maximum amount you can withdraw with an interoperable UPI ATM service is Rs. 10,000 per transaction. This amount may vary from bank to bank. The amount limit is a part of the existing UPI limit per day and according to the limits of the issuer bank for UPI ATM transactions.
