Latest updates: The Karnataka government stated that ration cards can be modified from 1 September 1 to 10 September 2023 to avail the benefits of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme. Eligible women can modify their ration cards at Karnataka One, Bengaluru One and Grama One centres.
The Karnataka Government has launched the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, which ensures gender equality and empowers women of Karnataka state. Under this scheme, the Karnataka State Government will give financial support to the head women of the house.
The Gruha Lakshmi Scheme Karnataka, announced by the Karnataka Government, provides monthly financial assistance of Rs.2,000 to the head women of a house. Around 1.28 crore women in the state would benefit from this scheme.
The Gruha Lakshmi Yojana is launched to support women and improve their livelihood. It aims to empower housewives, landless women, and agricultural women workers by providing them with financial assistance through a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. Women will start receiving the amount of Rs.2,000 after 16 August 2023 which will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
The Karnataka Government provides financial assistance of Rs.2,000 every month to eligible women. The government disbursed the Rs.2,000 amount through DBT from 30 August 2023.
The registration for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme started from 19 July. Eligible women can register for the scheme online by following the below steps:
Step 1: Visit the Seva Sindhu Guarantee Schemes Portal.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Gruha Lakshmi Yojana’ option.
Step 3: Click on the link displyed in the pop-up box.
Step 4: Fill in the required information for the scheme and upload the documents.
Step 5: Click the submit button and note the application form number for future reference.
Women can also submit applications offline in Grama One, Bangalore One or Karnataka One office, Bapuji Seva Kendras and Nada Kacheris. Eligible women should visit the mentioned offices and get the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme application form, fill the form and submit it with the required documents. The state officials will conduct a door-to-door registration process to record beneficiary details. The beneficiary list will be displayed on the Seva Sindhu Guarantee Schemes Portal.
Once a woman applies to the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, she can check the application form status from the Seva Sindhu Guarantee Schemes Portal. The government will release the beneficiary list of this scheme on the official website.
