Latest Update: The Maharashtra Government has announced that the July installment of Rs.1,500 under the Ladki Bahin Yojana will be transferred into the accounts of women beneficiaries on the eve of Raksha Bandhan, i.e., 8 August 2025.
The Maharashtra Government approved the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana on 28 June 2024 to improve the economic independence of women in the state by providing them Rs.1,500 every month. It also aims to improve the health, nutrition, and role in the family of a woman.

The Maharashtra government announced the Ladki Bahin Yojana in the state budget on 18 June 2024. Under this scheme, the state government will provide eligible women of the state with a monthly financial assistance to support them. The government has made a provision of Rs.36,000 crore for the year 2025-26 for this Yojana.
This scheme is also known as the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. It is aimed to promote self-reliance and empowerment of economically disadvantaged women in Maharashtra. It provides economic support to women. Eligible women will receive the financial assistence under this scheme directly into their bank accounts.
The Maharashtra Government has reduced the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana amount for 8 lakh beneficiaries who are receiving benefits under the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi (NSMN). Under the NSMN scheme, beneficiaries are receiving Rs.1,000 per month. Thus, such women will receive only Rs.500 under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, totally amounting to Rs.1,500 from both schemes.
Under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, eligible women will receive Rs. 1,500 per month, which amounts to Rs.18,000 annually through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank account of the women.

Step 1: Visit the official Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Applicant Login’ option.
Step 3: Click on ‘Create Account’.
Step 4: Fill out the application and click the ‘Signup’ button.
Step 5: Log in to the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana website using your mobile number, password, and captcha code.
Step 6: Click on the ‘Application of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’.
Step 7: Enter your Aadhaar number and click ‘Verify’.
Step 8: Enter the required details on the application, upload the documents and click ‘Submit’. You will receive the application ID via SMS.
The Ladki Bahin Yojana form can be filled out and submitted online through the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana website. However, eligible applicants can also get the Ladki Bahin Yojana form offline through the following people:
Step 1: Log in to the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana website using your mobile number, password, and captcha code.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Applications Made Earlier’ option to view the Ladki Bahin Yojana application status.
Applicants will get the status of their Ladki Bahin Yojana application via SMS. However, they can also check the Ladki Bahin Yojana yadi or list online by visiting the municipal corporation website or logging into the Ladki Bahin Yojana website, clicking ‘Selected Applicants List’ option and entering the name and Aadhaar or mobile number. They can also check the status offline by visiting the Anganwadi, Ward Office or Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra.
The Maharashtra government launched the Ladki Bahin Yojana on 17 August 2024. However, the government stated that the scheme’s benefits would be provided from July 2024. Initially, the last application date was 31 August 2024. But, seeing the overwhelming response to the scheme, the government extended the Ladki Bahin Yojana’s last date to 15 October 2024.
