Latest Update: The Maharashtra Government has announced that the July installment of Rs.1,500 under the Ladki Bahin Yojana will be transferred into the accounts of women beneficiaries on the eve of Raksha Bandhan, i.e., 8 August 2025. 

The Maharashtra Government approved the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana on 28 June 2024 to improve the economic independence of women in the state by providing them Rs.1,500 every month. It also aims to improve the health, nutrition, and role in the family of a woman.

What Is Ladki Bahini Yojana Maharashtra?

The Maharashtra government announced the Ladki Bahin Yojana in the state budget on 18 June 2024. Under this scheme, the state government will provide eligible women of the state with a monthly financial assistance to support them. The government has made a provision of Rs.36,000 crore for the year 2025-26 for this Yojana. 

This scheme is also known as the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. It is aimed to promote self-reliance and empowerment of economically disadvantaged women in Maharashtra. It provides economic support to women. Eligible women will receive the financial assistence under this scheme directly into their bank accounts. 

The Maharashtra Government has reduced the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana amount for 8 lakh beneficiaries who are receiving benefits under the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi (NSMN). Under the NSMN scheme, beneficiaries are receiving Rs.1,000 per month. Thus, such women will receive only Rs.500 under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, totally amounting to Rs.1,500 from both schemes.

Ladki Bahin Yojana Benefits

Under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, eligible women will receive Rs. 1,500 per month, which amounts to Rs.18,000 annually through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank account of the women.

Ladki Bahin Yojana Eligibility

• The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state.
• Applicants should be female.
• Applicants can be married, divorced, widowed, abandoned, destitute or one unmarried woman in the family. 
• Women should be aged between 21 years and 65 years.
• Applicants should have their own bank account linked with an Aadhaar card.
• The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs.2.5 lakh.
• Applicants can be outsourced employees, contract workers and voluntary workers with income up to Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Ladki Bahin Yojana Exclusions

Women who fulfil any of the below conditions are ineligible under the scheme:

• A woman whose combined annual family income is above Rs.2.5 lakh.
• A woman whose family member is an income taxpayer.
• A woman whose family members are working as regular or permanent employees in the government department, undertaking, board, local body of State Government or Government of India or drawing pension after retirement. However, if the family members are outsourced employees, contract workers, and voluntary workers, the woman will be eligible for the scheme.
• A woman who receives Rs.1,500 or more per month under any other financial scheme implemented through other government departments.
• A woman whose family member is a present or former MP or MLA.
• A woman whose family member is chairman, vice-chairman, member of the board, director, corporation or undertaking of the Government of India or State Government.
• A woman whose family members own a four-wheeler (excluding a tractor).

Ladki Bahin Yojana Online Apply

Follow the below steps to apply for Ladki Bahin Yojana online:

Step 1: Visit the official Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana website. 

Step 2: Click on the ‘Applicant Login’ option. 

Step 3: Click on ‘Create Account’.

Step 4: Fill out the application and click the ‘Signup’ button. 

Step 5: Log in to the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana website using your mobile number, password, and captcha code.

Step 6: Click on the ‘Application of Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’.

Step 7: Enter your Aadhaar number and click ‘Verify’.

Step 8: Enter the required details on the application, upload the documents and click ‘Submit’. You will receive the application ID via SMS.

Ladki Bahin Yojana Form

The Ladki Bahin Yojana form can be filled out and submitted online through the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana website. However, eligible applicants can also get the Ladki Bahin Yojana form offline through the following people:

Documents Required for Ladki Bahin Yojana

• Aadhaar card linked with bank account.
• Domicile certificate. If the domicile certificate is not available, any one of the following can be submitted:
  • Ration card valid for the past 15 years
  • Voter ID card valid for the past 15 years
  • Birth certificate 
  • School leaving certificate
• If the woman is born in another state but the husband is from Maharashtra, any one of the following documents:
  • Ration card valid for the past 15 years
  • Voter ID card valid for the past 15 years
  • Birth certificate
  • School leaving certificate 
  • Domicile certificate
• Income certificate, in case of white ration card. No income certificate is required if the ration card is a yellow card or orange card. 
• If the woman is a newlywed and her name is not mentioned on the ration card, the husband's ration card with the marriage certificate must be submitted.
• Bank account details.
• Photograph of the applicant.

How to Check Ladki Bahin Yojana Application Status?

Step 1: Log in to the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana website using your mobile number, password, and captcha code.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Applications Made Earlier’ option to view the Ladki Bahin Yojana application status.

Ladki Bahin Yojana List/ Ladki Bahin Yojana Yadi 2025 

Applicants will get the status of their Ladki Bahin Yojana application via SMS. However, they can also check the Ladki Bahin Yojana yadi or list online by visiting the municipal corporation website or logging into the Ladki Bahin Yojana website, clicking ‘Selected Applicants List’ option and entering the name and Aadhaar or mobile number. They can also check the status offline by visiting the Anganwadi, Ward Office or Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra.

Ladki Bahin Yojana Last Date

The Maharashtra government launched the Ladki Bahin Yojana on 17 August 2024. However, the government stated that the scheme’s benefits would be provided from July 2024. Initially, the last application date was 31 August 2024. But, seeing the overwhelming response to the scheme, the government extended the Ladki Bahin Yojana’s last date to 15 October 2024.
