Bihar Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana: Registration Link, Eligibility, Documents Required, Helpline Number

The Government of Bihar launched the Bihar Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana for the welfare of youth and women in the state. This yojana intends to provide self-employment for the educated youth, women and people belonging to the Most Backward Classes (MBC) and SC/ST community. Under this yojana, better employment opportunities are provided to the eligible people residing in Bihar.

Objectives of Bihar Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana

The objectives of this yojana are as follows:

  • To promote small and micro-scale industries in Bihar.
  • To build opportunities for MBC, SC/ST, women and unemployed youth to set up a new business.
  • To create maximum employment opportunities in the state.
  • To provide better livelihood and improve the employment ratio of the SC/ST, MBC, women and unemployed youth.

Benefits Provided Under Bihar Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana

The following are the benefits provided under this yojana: 

  • It provides 50% of the total project cost per unit to the young girls subject to a maximum of Rs.5 lakhs and interest-free loans to be repaid in seven years.
  • It provides 50% of the sanctioned amount subject to a maximum of Rs.5 lakhs as a grant or subsidy.
  • It provides Rs.25,000 per unit for the training of beneficiaries after selection.
  • It provides benefits for the establishment of only new industries.
  • The benefits of the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Policy 2016 are paid to the new industrial units.

Eligibility Criteria for Bihar Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana

  • Applicants must be permanent residents of Bihar.
  • Applicants should be women, youth or belong to MBC, SC or ST communities.
  • Applicants should have passed at least 10+2 or intermediate, polytechnic, ITI, diploma or equivalent degree.
  • Applicants’ age should be between 18-50 years.
  • Applicants should have a current account. In the case of proprietorship, the current individual account in the applicant’s or the firm’s current account is valid.

Documents Required for Bihar Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana

  • Permanent residence certificate.
  • Matriculation certificate.
  • Intermediate or equivalent qualification certificate.
  • Caste certificate.
  • Organisation certificate.
  • Aadhaar card and PAN card.
  • Applicant photograph.
  • Specimen signature.
  • Bank statement with a cancelled cheque.

Application Process for Bihar Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana

Following is the process to apply for Bihar Udyami Yojana:

Step 1: Visit the Bihar Udymai Yojana official website.

Step 2: Click on the “Registration” button.

Step 3: Fill in the registration application details, such as name, mobile number and Aadhaar number.

Step 4: An OTP is sent to the applicant’s mobile number.

Step 5: Enter the OTP and click the ‘Submit’ button.

The applicants are selected through a committee headed by the Principal Secretary of the Industrial Secretary Department. The approved amount is paid in a maximum of two instalments. However, the yojana benefit will be given to only one family member.
