- Banking

- Railway ticket booking
- Applying for healthcare services
- Applying for certificates such as caste certificate and resident certificate

Can I open a CSC in my neighbouring village?
No, you can only open a CSC in an area where you live. To this effect, you must show residential proof so that the government officials can permit you to open the CSC.
Why is such a specific computer system required to open a CSC?
To open a CSC, you need a computer that functions well. A computer with at least 120 GB storage will help you store all the essential files of the people who require your services without running out of space. As a result, you can have the information you need in your system. A minimum of 512 MB RAM is also an important feature because it will ensure that the computer runs fast and all applications work. This is generally on the lower end of features (with laptops now offering as high as 8GB for affordable price points). Still, this requirement has been made to buy a computer so it does not become a costly ordeal for the entrepreneur. Other features such as a minimum of four hours of battery backup can ensure that if the electricity goes, the CSC can still function for a large part of the day.
