How to Register For CSC or Digital Seva?
To register for CSC or Digital Seva, you must fulfill the eligibility criteria and have the basic infrastructure requirements to open a CSC as a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE). Here is the process to register on CSC Digital Seva website as a VLE:
- Visit the CSC registration page.
- Click on the ‘Click here to Register’ link under the ‘VLE Registration’ tab.
- A new page will open. Select the desired application type.
- Enter your mobile number and Captcha code.
- Click the ‘Submit’ button.
- An application form will appear.
- Fill out the required details such as your name, date of birth, gender and so on.
- Click the ‘Next’ button.
- Enter other details, such as personal details, address, bank account details in the form.
- Upload the required documents as detailed by the website.
- Verify the details mentioned in the form.
- Click the ‘Submit’ button.
- An application reference ID will be generated and you will receive the acknowledgement email informing about the successful completion of your application.
- Your application will be submitted to the concerned party for evaluation.
- After verification, you will become an active VLE and get a unique CSC ID on your registered email address.
Digital Seva CSC Registration Status
Follow the below process to check the CSC registration status:
- Visit the CSC registration page.
- Click on ‘Apply’ and select ‘Status Check’ option.
- Enter the Application reference number received in the acknowledgement email sent during the registration process.
- Enter the Captcha code and click ‘Submit’.
- The status of your registration will be displayed on the screen.
CSC Digital Seva Portal Login
To log into the CSC Digital Seva portal, you need to:
- Visit the Digital Seva portal.
- Click the ‘Login’ button.
- Enter your username or email and password.
- Enter the Captcha code and click ‘Sign in’ button.
You will be able to access the CSC Digital Seva portal's dashboard and you can use it to provide different e-services to citizens.
Who Can Open a CSC?
Any citizen of India who has passed class 10th can open a CSC. However, to successfully open the CSC, an individual must acquire a Telecenter Entrepreneur Certificate (TEC). The course for the same can be taken online, and once the exams are passed, the certificate is issued. This certificate is then used to apply to open a CSC.
To open a CSC, you need to have the following gadgets:
- Printer/ Colour Printer
- A computer with at least 512 MB RAM for fast computing and a minimum battery backup of four hours. The computer should also have a minimum memory of 120 GB. It should run on a licensed operating system.
- Webcam and digital camera
- CD/DVD Drive
- Scanner
- Internet connection with at least 128 kbps speed for browsing & data uploading over the internet.
Additionally, the applicant needs to meet the following criteria to be eligible:
- Be at least 18 years of age or more
- Be a citizen of the same area where you want to open the CSC Digital Seva Kendra (residence proof is mandatory)
- Have a valid number, email ID, and bank account
- Be at least a 10th pass from a recognised board (and have the 10th pass marksheet along with any other education qualification certificate)
- Have identity proofs such as an Aadhaar card, passport size photograph, and PAN card
