The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) introduced the Self Service Portal (SSP) for Chartered Accountant (CA) students, firms and members. The ICAI regulates accountancy work, monitors quality through peer review, formulates accounting standards, etc., through the SSP portal. The CA students, members and firms can file and update all the ICAI forms on this portal.
The students, members and firms can access the following service on the SSP portal:
The ICAI members and CA students can log in to the SSP through their Member Registration Number (MRN)/Student Registration Number (SRN). Even new candidates who do not have an SRN and want to register in the CA course can log in to the SSP.
To log in to SSP, the existing students or members must first register on the SSP using their SRN and MRN, respectively. After successful registration of the students and members on the SSP, they can log in to the SSP by following the below steps:
Step 1: Go to the ICAI website and click on the ‘Self Service Portal’ option on the homepage.
Step 2: Enter the User ID and password received at the time of registration on SSP.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Login’ button.
The new students who want to register for the CA course can register on the SSP Portal by following the below steps for registration:
Step 1: Go to the ICAI website and click on the ‘Self Service Portal’ option on the homepage.
Step 2: Click on the ‘First Time User (New Student)? Click Here’ button.
Step 3: The registration form will open. The students need to fill in the details such as name, gender, date of birth, email, mobile number, country name, nationality and click on the ‘Generate OTP’ button.
Step 4: Enter the captcha and click on the ‘Submit’ button to receive OTP.
Step 5: The students will receive the verification link on their email and OTP on their mobile number.
Step 6: Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Validate OTP’ button.
Step 7: Once OTP validation is complete, the students will receive the user ID and password to log in to the SSP on their email/SMS. The registration on SSP will be complete, and the students can log in to the SSP using the login credentials sent to them.
Students already registered with the ICAI and having an SRN number can register on the SSP Portal by following the below steps for registration:
Step 1: Go to the ICAI website and click on the ‘Self Service Portal’ option on the homepage.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Don’t Have a Login to SSP Yet? (Existing Student/Members) Click Here’ button.
Step 3: Select the ‘Student’ option.
Step 4: Enter the Student Registration Number (SRN), date of birth, and click the ‘Validate’ button.
Step 5: Upon clicking the ‘Validate’ button, you will receive a message to update your communication details, such as email and mobile number.
Step 6: Enter your communication details and click on the ‘Generate OTP’ button.
Step 7: Enter the captcha and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 8: Enter the OTP received on your mobile number or email address and click on the ‘Validate OTP’ button.
Step 9: Once OTP validation is complete, the students will receive the user ID and password to log in to the SSP on their email. The registration on SSP will be complete, and the existing students can log in to the SSP using the login credentials sent to them.
The members already registered with the ICAI and having an MRN number can register on the SSP Portal by following the below steps for registration:
Step 1: Go to the ICAI website and click on the ‘Self Service Portal’ option on the homepage.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Don’t Have a Login to SSP Yet? (Existing Student/Members) Click Here’ button.
Step 3: Select the ‘Member’ option.
Step 4: Enter the six-digit Member Registration Number (MRN), date of birth, and click the ‘Validate’ button.
Step 5: Upon clicking the ‘Validate’ button, you will receive a message to update your communication details, such as email and mobile number.
Step 6: Enter your communication details and click on the ‘Generate OTP’ button.
Step 7: Enter the captcha and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 8: Enter the OTP received on your mobile number or email address and click on the ‘Validate OTP’ button.
Step 9: After validating OTP and mobile number, the member needs to upload a declaration form.
Step 10: Click on the ‘Step 1: Generate Declaration Form’ option under the ‘Declaration’ heading on the screen and click ‘OK’ on the displayed message.
Step 11: Click on the ‘Step 2: Download Declaration Form’ option under the ‘Declaration’ heading on the screen.
Step 12: Take a printout of the declaration form, fill the form and scan it.
Step 13: Follow Steps 1 to 8 mentioned above to open the ‘Declaration’ heading page on the website. Click on the ‘Step 3: Upload Scanned Declaration Form’ option and upload the scanned form.
Step 14: Click on the ‘Step 4: Upload PAN card/Voter ID’ option. Upload the scanned PAN card or Voter ID and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 15: After the application/registration form is approved, the members will receive the User ID and password to log in to the SSP portal, and the registration will be complete.
Through the SSP portal, the members and students can avail various services online. The students can apply for CA exams, access study modules and get information regarding exams at any time by logging into the SSP portal.
The members can access membership-related services from their homes through this portal. It is very beneficial for CA firms also as they can register, update details of merger/demerger and closure of firms through this portal.
