If you have not used a bank account for ten years, the money in that account is termed as unclaimed. However, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) facilitates for claiming unclaimed money from the banks. Canara Bank unclaimed deposits are the balances in current/savings accounts not operated for 10 years, or the funds in term deposit accounts not claimed within 10 years from maturity date. As per the rules of the Reserve Bank of India, Canara Bank transfers its unclaimed deposits to the RBI's Depositor Education and Awareness (DEA) Fund. At a later date, depositors can still claim the unclaimed deposits of Canara Bank along with the interest generated in that deposit.

He/she will have to register, log in, and search for unclaimed deposit details by entering basic information (of the account owner) like ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN), address proof, name, date of birth, etc.
