Below are the steps that you will need to follow to link your HDFC Bank account with Aadhaar online:

• Step 1: Visit the net banking portal of HDFC Bank.
• Step 2: Log in to the portal using your user ID and password.
• Step 3: Click on the ‘Request’ button present in the ‘Accounts’ tab.
• Step 4: Select ‘View/Update Aadhaar Number’ and enter your bank account number.
• Step 5: Enter your Aadhaar number accurately.
• Step 6: Verify the number and tap on the ‘Update’ button.
• Step 7: Next, click on the 'Confirm' button to complete the linking process.

Once your Aadhaar card linking process is over, you will receive an official mail regarding the same.

Link Aadhaar with an HDFC Bank Account through a Mobile App

You can even link your Aadhaar card to the HDFC Bank account via the mobile app. The steps are as follows:

• Step 1: Input your credentials to log in to the mobile banking app of HDFC.
• Step 2: Move to the ‘Accounts’ tab and tap on the ‘Request’ section.
• Step 3: Choose ‘View/Update Aadhaar Card’ from the available options.
• Step 4: Select the HDFC account that you want to link with your Aadhaar card.
• Step 5: Accurately enter your Aadhaar number (UID) twice and then click on ‘Update’.
• Step 6: Finally, click on 'Confirm' to submit your request.

How to Link Aadhaar with HDFC Bank Account by Phone Banking?

Follow the below steps to link or update Aadhaar with HDFC Bank account using phone banking:

• Step 1: Make a call to the HDFC phone banking number allocated for your city.
• Step 2: Choose your preferred language option and select #1.
• Step 3: Accurately enter ‘Debit Card Number and PIN’ or ‘Customer ID and TIN’.
• Step 4: Select #6 for ‘Complaints and Requests’ and tap #2 for ‘Requests’.
• Step 5: Select #8 and correctly enter your Aadhaar number.
• Step 6: Re-enter your Aadhaar number to confirm it.

Once done, you will receive a confirmation message on your device. 

Link Aadhaar with HDFC Bank Account via ATM

You can even link your bank account and Aadhaar card by visiting the nearest ATM. The steps are as follows:

• Step 1: Move to the ‘Service Requests’ option on your ATM screen. 
• Step 2: Click on ‘Link Aadhaar with your bank account’.
• Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number and re-enter for confirmation to complete the process.

After completion of these steps, your request for Aadhaar linking will be initiated. 

How to Link Aadhaar with HDFC Bank Account by Visiting the Branch?

• Step 1: Visit your nearest HDFC Bank branch from where you operate your account.
• Step 2: Request the application for linking your bank account with Aadhaar number.
• Step 3: Fill in the form accurately by entering all the required details.
• Step 4: Submit the form along with the necessary documents.

The bank representative will provide you with a receipt after you submit your application form.

Documents Required for Linking HDFC Bank Account to Aadhaar Card

You will need only the following information to link your HDFC Bank account to your Aadhaar number online:

• Login credentials of your Netbanking account or mobile banking app
• 12-digit UID (Unique Identification) number 

Alternatively, if you want link Aadhar card with your HDFC Account then you will have to submit the below-mentioned documents:

• Photocopy of passbook
