Online Registration Process

Step 1: Visit the official website of HDFC netbanking portal at

Step 2: Click the ‘Register’ option available at the bottom of the page.


Step 3: Enter your customer ID and click on the ‘Go’ button.

Step 4: Enter the registered mobile number for the system to generate OTP.

Step 5: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.

Step 6: Enter the details of the relevant debit card.

Step 7: The following screen will allow you to set the IPIN to access internet banking services.

HDFC Bank Net Banking Registration via Phone Banking

Step 1: Dial the HDFC Phone Banking number; the number differs based on the city of your residence.

Step 2: Enter the customer ID + HDFC debit card number + PIN/Telephone Identification Number (TIN).

Step 3: The bank representative will record your registration request and initiate the approval process.

Step 4: You will receive the IPIN through a mail to the registered mailing address within 5 working days.

Step 1: Visit the HDFC netbanking website and download the registration form.

Step 2: Fill up the form with the requested details, print it, and submit the same at the nearest HDFC Bank branch.

Step 3: Upon submission, a request will be registered and IPIN will be mailed to your registered mailing address.

How to Check Account Balance

Step 1: Log in to your HDFC net banking account.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Accounts Summary’ option under the ‘Accounts’ tab.

Step 3: A list of all your accounts will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4: Select the account for which you wish to check the balance.

Step 5: The account balance and other details of the selected account will be displayed.

How do I receive my PIN?

Due to security reasons, your PIN will not be shared with you online. It will be sent to you via post.

How do I get a confirmation of my payment done using BillPay?

Once you make a payment using BillPay, you will receive a reference number for every successful payment. You can also refer to the transaction under transaction history on a later date.

What will happen if I have registered for mobile bill payment and have changed my service provider?

If you have registered for the mobile bill under the BillPay service and, then, change your service provider, your existing registered billing details will be declared invalid. Any payment made after porting the service provider will lapse.

You have to de-register your BillPay facility with respect to the previous service provider by submitting a written request at the nearest branch. Further, you will have to freshly register for the facility with respect to the new service provider by submitting a letter at the nearest branch or through ‘Add Biller’ option available on the bank’s internet banking website.
