LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana is a three-year stipendiary programme launched on 9 December 2024 to train women, especially from rural areas, to become LIC insurance agents. The scheme’s objective is to create employment for 1,00,000 women. It also aims to increase insurance awareness, and improve insurance accessibility in villages.
Under the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, training is provided to eligible women for 3 years on LIC’s insurance products, financial literacy tools and policies and the need for insurance. They will receive a stipend during the training period, i.e. for 3 years, and they can work as LIC insurance agents after 3 years.

LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana aims to empower women by enlisting 1,00,000 women within a year to provide new employment opportunities for rural women to become insurance agents, raise awareness about insurance in rural areas and earn a living.

Stipend is provided under the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana for 3 years. The stipend amount is as follows:

Step 1: Visit the LIC website.
Step 2: Scroll down and click on the ‘Click Here For Bima Sakhi’ button.
Step 3: On the next page, fill in the required details, such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, address, whether you are related to any agent/ employee of LIC and the captcha code and click ‘Submit’.
Step 4: Select your state and select the city you want to work in.
Step 5: Next, select the branch office and click ‘Submit Lead Form’.
The LIC has not yet announced the last date for applying for the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana.
