• General Scholarship: for students pursuing higher or technical education after Class 10 or 12.
• Special Girl Child Scholarship: for girl students pursuing 10+2 or equivalent courses for two years.

Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme Eligibility

Here are the eligibility criteria for the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship awarded under this scheme: 

General Scholarship 

I. After Class 12th (XII)

• Candidates must have passed Class XII (or its equivalent – Regular/Vocational) or a Diploma with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the Academic Year 2021-22.
• The annual income of the candidate's parents/guardian should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000 from all sources (relaxation is available as per clause 6(i)).
• Eligible students must be interested in pursuing higher education in the fields of Medicine, Engineering, Graduation in any discipline, Integrated Courses, Diploma Courses in any field, Vocational Courses through government-recognized colleges/institutes, or courses in ITIs.
• The scholarship supports students studying in government or private colleges, vocational courses, and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).

II. After Class 10th (X)

• Candidates must have passed the Class X exam (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the Academic Year 2021-22.
• The annual income of the candidate's parents/guardian should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000 from all sources.
• The grant is provided to students pursuing higher education in the field of Vocational / Diploma Courses through Government-recognized colleges/institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI).

Special Scholarship for Girl Child (For Two Years) 

• The scholarship is specifically for girl children who have passed Class X (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the Academic Year 2021-22.
• The annual income of the candidate's parents/guardian should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000 from all sources.
• This special scholarship is for girl students pursuing higher studies in the Intermediate/10+2 pattern, Vocational, or Diploma Courses through Government-recognized colleges/institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for a duration of two years.

Ineligible Candidates

The following candidates are not eligible for the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship under this scheme:

• Candidates pursuing a course through part-time (evening or night) classes, correspondence or open universities. 
• Candidates who are already receiving scholarships from other trusts or institutions are not eligible. However, candidates who are receiving scholarships from the government (state or central) at the time of selection or after being selected under this scheme are eligible. 
• Candidates pursuing post-graduation studies.

How to Apply for Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme?

The application for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme is completely online. Thus, eligible candidates can apply for the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship only through the LIC website. The process to apply is as follows:

Step 1: Visit the LIC website

Step 2: Select the application option 

Step 3: Fill in the form with required details, upload your marksheet and admission proof, and click ‘Submit’.

Step 4: You’ll receive an acknowledgement email with your application number and LIC Division Office address.

Step 5: The LIC Division Office will handle further communication and process your application.

Step 6: Selected candidates will receive instructions via email on submitting physical documents.

Step 7: After submitting the documents to the Divisional Office, the scholarship approval will be processed.

The Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme application form is available on the LIC website. It can only be filled out and submitted online. The following details must be filled on the form:

• Personal Details: Name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, nationality, email, address, district, state, category, course name, course duration, and parent’s annual income.
• Academic Details: 10th passing details (university/board/institute, year of passing, percentage), marks sheet upload, year of admission, admission proof, and information on any family member applying/receiving this scholarship or if you’re receiving any other scholarship.
• Bank Details: IFSC code, bank name, branch name, account number, and last four digits of Aadhaar number.
• Declaration: Signature/confirmation of the provided information.
