    • They need to provide their KYC documents, a photocopy of the death certificate, an Affidavit signed by all the claimants (when the claim amount is above Rs. 3 lakh) and a succession certificate (when the claim amount is above Rs.25 lakh).
    • After verifying the documents, the proceeds will be given to the claimants.
  • When there is no claimant or legal heir:
    • In case there is no claimant, the bank will transfer the account to a dormant account.
    • If a claimant (legal heir) later contacts the bank, they must submit an application with the death certificate and relevant documents.
    • The bank verifies the submitted documents.
    • If they are satisfied, the bank will give the proceeds to the claimant (legal heir).
