What is the IPPB Customer ID? 

A unique Customer ID is generated when you open a savings account with IPPB. IPPB provides doorstep services for account opening, allowing you to choose between a basic, regular, or premium savings account. These accounts can be opened at designated access points or through the doorstep service.  

After creating your account, you receive an account number and a 10-digit Customer ID (CIF). It is advisable to keep this information secure. However, if you misplace your Customer ID, there are several ways to retrieve it.

Through the IPPB QR Card  

When you open an account, you receive a card containing a QR code and instructions on using your IPPB digital account. By scanning this QR code and authenticating via OTP or OVD, you can access complete account details, including your account number and Customer ID.

Through the IPPB Mobile Banking App  

You can download the IPPB Mobile Banking app on your mobile phone via Google Play Store or App Store to avail yourself of banking services. To register, you will need your customer ID. If you are already signed up for mobile banking, follow these steps:

  • Sign in to the IPPB mobile banking app using your registered mobile number.
  • Find the ‘Profile Details’ section within the app.
  • Your IPPB account number and customer ID will appear on the next screen.

Through IPPB Phone Banking 

You can use IPPB phone banking or customer support to find your IPPB Customer ID number without visiting the bank. You need to follow these simple steps:

  • Call 155299 or 1800 180 7980 using your registered mobile number.
  • Choose your preferred language.
  • Press 2 to explore IPPB products and services.
  • Press 3 to speak with an IPPB operator (agent-assisted).
  • Request your customer ID. Be prepared to provide your account number, BOD, or other details.

By providing the correct information, the operator will assist you in obtaining your IPPB Customer ID number.

At Any of the IPPB Access Points 

Most post offices function as IPPB access points and dedicated centres for customer convenience. By verifying your account details, you can visit these locations and obtain your Customer ID in IPPB.

From Your Monthly Account Statement 

You can download the mini statement online to find your IPPB Customer ID from your monthly account statement. If you are using mobile banking, you can easily access the mini statement through the IPPB Mobile App. On the other hand, if you use a net banking service, you can access the account statement you received via mail.  

The PDF statement will be password-protected, so you must enter the password to open it. Once you open the statement, you will see your account details at the top of the page. Your Customer ID will be listed right below the account number. You can find your IPPB CIF number in the monthly account statement.

From Your IPPB Account Welcome Kit

When you open a new IPPB account, you will receive a welcome kit that contains all your account details. The kit contains a document that includes the Customer ID of IPPB along with other relevant information.

IPPB Customer ID by SMS

You can easily retrieve your IPPB Customer ID using SMS Banking. Follow these simple steps:

  • Open your messaging app on the registered mobile number.
  • Type the message in this format:
     GETCIF <DDMMYYYY>
     (Example: GETCIF 01011990)
  • Send the SMS to 7738062873.
  • You will instantly receive an SMS containing your IPPB Customer ID.
