The GST collections for October 2025 were released on 1st November 2025 by the GST Network. October 2025 GST collection is Rs.1,95,936 crores. October 2025 collection has gone up as compared to the September 2025 GST collection which was Rs.1,89,017 crores.​​

Analysis of the GST Collections October 2025

  • The GST collections for October 2025 have increased compared to the previous financial year, showing a revived tax base and improved compliance levels.​​
  • Gross GST collections for October 2025 work out to Rs.1,95,936 crore, which is higher than last month’s figures. 
  • Year-on-year data indicates that October 2025 collections are 4.6% higher than those of October 2024, when they stood at Rs.1,87,346 crore.​​
  • Key components include CGST at Rs.36,547 crores, SGST at Rs.45,134 crores, IGST at Rs.1,06,443 crores, and Cess at Rs.7,812 crores.​​
  • Revenue from domestic transactions have grown by 2.0% year-on-year, while revenue from imports have grown by 12.8%.​
  • Refunds processed in October 2025 total Rs.26,934 crores, which include CGST refunds at Rs.2,973 crores, SGST refunds at Rs.4,290 crores, IGST refunds at Rs.18,968 crores, and cess refunds at Rs.703 crores.​
  • The net GST collections for October 2025 are Rs.1,69,002 crore, indicating a growth of 0.6% as compared to the previous year.​

The comparatively robust GST collections in October were supported by the festive season, higher consumption due to improved consumer sentiment, and the continued impact of GST rate rationalization after the 56th GST Council meeting. The reforms, which took effect from 22nd September 2025, spurred a further uptick in demand, as businesses and households increased purchases and investments following months of cautious spending.​​

GST Collections for October 2025 State-wise

The government also released the state-wise GST collections for October 2025. Maharashtra again leads the states in absolute gross monthly revenue, followed by Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Haryana.​​

In October 2025, the states exhibiting the most significant growth in GST collections were Nagaland (46%), Arunachal Pradesh (44%), and Ladakh (39%). Conversely, the largest declines were observed in Puducherry (-24%), Himachal Pradesh (-17%), and Jharkhand (-15%). Among the key revenue contributors, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat led with the highest absolute increases in collections year-on-year, adding Rs. 1,314 crore, Rs. 995 crore, and Rs. 706 crore respectively. These figures highlight a generally positive revenue trend, tempered by localized declines in select regions.
