How to Enable International Transactions on HDFC Debit Cards?

Activate International Transactions for HDFC Debit Card Through Net Banking

Follow the steps below to activate international transactions on an HDFC debit card:

Step 1: Log in to your HDFC bank net banking account.

Step 2: Go to the ‘Cards’ tab at the top of the page and select ‘Debit Cards’.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Request’ option and choose ‘Set Card Controls/ Usage’.

Step 4: Select the card and click on ‘Customise’.

Step 5: Select the ‘International Usage Limits’ option and switch the toggle button to 'ON' to enable the international usage option.

Step 6: Enter the card details and click ‘Confirm’.

You can also set or limit your international transaction limit by clicking on ‘Modify International Limit’. The HDFC debit cards eligible for international transactions are for salary, current, and savings accounts.

Activate International Transactions for HDFC  Debit Cards Through Mobile Banking

To enable international transactions on HDFC debit cards through mobile banking, follow the steps mentioned below: 

Step 1: Open the HDFC mobile application on your mobile phone and log in using your credentials.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Menu’ option in the application's top right corner.

Step 3: Select the ‘Pay’ option from the menu bar.

Step 4: Choose ‘Cards’ and then select ‘Debit Cards.’

Step 5: Click on the specific HDFC debit card you wish to enable international transactions for.

Step 6: On the next page, click ‘Show More’, navigate to the ‘Limits’ section and click on ‘Customise’.

Step 7: Under the ‘International’ section, switch the toggle button to 'ON' to activate international transactions for your HDFC debit card.

Step 8: Verify your debit card by entering the card details.

Enable International Usage for HDFC  Debit Cards By Customer Care

Another way you can activate international transactions on your HDFC debit card is by connecting with the bank on their customer care number. You can reach out to the HDFC Bank customer care number by dialling 1800 1600 or 1800 2600 and activate international transactions.

Another way to enable international transactions on HDFC debit cards is to visit the nearest HDFC Bank branch and ask a bank executive to activate them for you.
