How to Register for SBI ePay?
Any SBI customer registered for internet banking can use SBI ePay services. Here are the steps to register for SBI’s net banking facility:
- Go to the net banking portal, www.onlinesbi.sbi., and click ‘New User Registration’ under Personal Banking.
- Click on ‘OK’ in the Alert Message box and then ‘Next’ to continue to the next page.
- Select ‘New User Registration’ from the drop-down menu and continue to the next page.
- Enter all the details in the registration form, including your bank’s account number, CIF number, branch code, country, mobile number and type of net banking facility required.
- Type in the CAPTCHA code, followed by the OTP received in your registered mobile number, and click ‘Confirm.
- On the next page, enter your debit card details and proceed to the next page.
- Generate a unique username and password. Then, reenter the password to continue to the next page.
- Secure your net banking profile by setting a profile password, security questions and other required details.
- Confirm the details shown on the next page and choose either online or branch verification on the next page.
- You are given a system-generated username. On the next page, enter the username and your login password and click ‘Submit’ to register for net banking.
Once you have successfully registered, follow the given steps to activate SBI ePay facilities:
- Login into your SBI internet banking account and click 'Bill Payment'.
- Click on ‘Add Billers’ to add one or more bills to your personal list. Select the city and then the biller name and biller-specific details to add a biller.
- Bill payments can be made using any of these three options- a) ‘Payment Only’ to make payments without a bill generated, b) ‘Pay Bill’ to make payments for paper bills, and c) ‘View and Pay Bill’ to check bills electronically before paying them.
- You can pay these bills via net banking or by submitting an ePay registration form at any SBI branch.
SBI ePay Challan Payment Status
To check the status of your SBI ePay Challan payment, you can follow these steps:
- Go to the SBI ePay website - https://www.sbiepay.sbi/secure/transactionTrack
- You will see a form with details such as merchant ref number, SBI ePay ref number, bank ref number and transaction date
- Enter the required retails and submit the form
- The system will display the status of your payment, showing whether it was successful, failed, or pending.
SBI ePay Transaction Failed
If your SBI ePay transaction has failed or you don't know its status, you should first ensure that it failed due to issues on your end. To do this, first check if your credit card or debit is enabled for CNP transactions. Also, check if these cards have sufficient limits. If you use a web browser, you should clear all cookies, website date and history before resuming transactions.
If your transaction shows as failed, you can initiate a new transaction after 30 minutes. However, if your account is debited and you are unable to track transaction status, you may want to file a complaint. Here are the steps to do so:
- Go to the SBI ePay portal and navigate to ‘Complaint Management’.
- Enter your contact details and click on ‘Generate OTP’.
- After verifying the OTP, you will be taken to a complaint form page. Enter the required details, including the transaction amount, date, and reference number. Then, verify with the CAPTCHA code and OTP to submit your complaint.
