There are two ways that you can apply for an ATM card from SBI using the offline method. These are using the customer care number or by visiting the branch. Following are the steps that are applicable if you are planning to apply for an SBI ATM card offline:

SBI offers another way to opt for an SBI ATM card application online in a hassle-free way. This is by using the YONO app. Follow the below process to apply for a SBI debit card through the YONO app:
You will receive a reference number using which you will be able to track your debit card that you will receive within a few days.
After you receive your ATM card, the next step is to activate it so that you can use it. SBI offers different ways through which you can activate your card. These are online methods like the net banking portal and YONO app and offline methods like SMS and calling customer care. For offline methods, you will need to visit an SBI ATM branch and generate your PIN. Here is the process to activate SBI ATM cards under all methods available:

If there is any type of delay beyond the notified number of days within which you were supposed to receive your ATM card, you can track it. You can track the status of your card using the net banking portal, YONO app, customer care number and India Post Portal.
In case you use the net banking portal, click on ATM card services and request an ATM/ Debit card. After this, select ‘Enquiry’ and choose the account number. Enter the month in which you applied for the card, and you will get all the details regarding your card status.
For the YONO app, select ‘Manage Cards’ and ‘Manage Debit Card’. Next, choose the account number, year and month in which you applied for the card and click on ‘Submit’. After this, you will be able to view the SBI debit card dispatch details.

Lastly, in case you wish to track using the India Post portal, you need to Speed Post Tracking Number from the messages that you have received on your registered mobile number. Visit the India Post website, and under the track section enter the speed post number and click on track. Now, you will be able to get all the details as to the current status of your ATM card.
