Aaple Sarkar website is an initiative taken by the Maharashtra Government to help citizens avail benefits of government services online. The process to register and log in to the Aaple Sarkar website is as follows:  

  • Choose ‘Option 1’ to register using OTP or ‘Option 2’ to register by providing all the required documents and photos.
  • Enter the required details (OTP or personal details, depending on the option chosen), enter a username and password and click on the ‘Register’ button.
  • Go to the home page of the Aaple Sarkar website, enter the username, password, and captcha code and click on the ‘Login’ button.

How to Get an Online Caste Certificate in Maharashtra?

Follow the below steps to get the Maharashtra caste certificate online:

Step 1: Log in to the Aaple Sarkar website.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Revenue Department’ option listed on the menu.

Step 3: Select the sub-department as ‘Revenue Services’ and select the ‘Caste Certificate’ option.

Step 4: Select the appropriate caste certificate option from the drop-down list.

Step 5: Fill the details, upload documents and click on the ‘Apply’ button.

Step 6: The acknowledgement number will be provided to track the caste certificate status.

After applying, it will usually take around 15 days to obtain the caste certificate.

How to Check the Status of Maharashtra Caste Certificate Online? 

  • Login to the Aaple Sarkar website by entering the username, password and captcha code.
  • Click on the ‘Track Your Application’ button.
  • Select the department as ‘Revenue Department from the drop-down list.
  • Next, select the service as ‘Revenue Services’ from the drop-down list.
  • Select the application type as ‘Caste Certificate’.
  • Enter the Application ID and click on the ‘Go’ button.

Caste Certificate Online Maharashtra Documents Required

Below are the required documents to apply for a Maharashtra caste certificate:

  • Proof of identity, which can be any one of the following:
    • PAN card
    • RSBY card
    • Passport
    • MNREGA job card
    • Driver’s license
    • Identity card issued by the government or a semi-government organisation
  • Proof of address, which can be any one of the below:
    • Passport
    • Ration card
    • Water bill
    • Aadhaar card
    • Telephone bill
    • Voter ID card
    • Driving license
    • Property tax receipt
    • Electricity bill
    • Extracts of 8 A and 7/12 rent receipt
  • Other documents can be any one of the following:
    • Affidavit
    • 7/12 or 8 A extract
    • Caste validity
    • Khasara copy
    • Record of rights
    • Deposit receipt
    • Copy of voter list
    • Copy of service book
    • Circle enquiry report
    • Extract of Talathi book
    • School leaving certificate
    • Death certificate copy
    • Kotwal book of uncle or father
    • Salary certificate or form 16
    • Caste certificate of the father or relative
    • Resident proof of Gram Panchayat or Nagar Parishad
    • TC bonafide certificate 
    • Special Executive officer certificate
    • Income proof of three years from Talathi
    • Copy of ration card and electoral photo ID
    • Resident proof of Municipal Corporation
    • Copy of school leaving certificate of father
    • Extract of birth in the Gram Panchayat Register

    • Evidence in supporting caste certificate
    • Evidence of the applicant residing in a village or town
    • Affidavit to caste certificate (Form-2 and Form-3)
    • Copy of village panchayat records or revenue records
    • Affidavit to caste certificate for ST caste (Form-A-1)
    • Extract of birth register of the father, applicant or relatives
    • Primary school leaving certificate of the father or applicant
    • Validity certificate, if any of the father or a relative, issued by the scrutiny committee
    • Extract of primary school admission register of the father, applicant or grandfather
    • Extract of government service record mentioning caste or community category of applicant’s father
    • Documentary evidence regarding caste and place of residence
