Step 1: Visit the homepage of Nadakacheri portal. 

Step 2: Click on 'Online Application and select ‘Apply Online’ option.

Step 3: You’ll be redirected to a page where you have to insert your phone number. Enter your mobile number correctly and click on 'Get OTP'. Enter the OTP and click ‘Login’.

Step 4: Click 'New Request' and choose 'Attestation of Family Tree'.

Step 5: You’ll be redirected to a page where you can go through the instructions for applying online. Here click on ‘New Request’, select ‘General Certificates’ and click ‘Family Tree Certificate’.

Step 1: Visit the official Seva Sindhu portal. Navigate the cursor to ‘Department & Services’.

Step 3: Go through the documents list and application process and click ‘Apply Online’.

Step 4: Note that if you’re a new user, you must first register on this portal. But, if you’re an existing user, you can easily log in with your phone number and OTP.

Step 5: Select the language you wish to obtain this certificate—English or Kannada. Provide all required user details.

Step 6: Tick the 'I Agree' checkbox, fill up the Captcha code as provided and submit it. 

Step 7: Click on ‘Attach Annexure’ and upload any documents required and save them. All the documents that you have uploaded will be displayed. Proceed to the next step by clicking on ‘e-sign and Make Payment’ button. 

Step 8: Select on ‘I agree’ to the consent form and select the authentication type. You’ll be redirected to the e-sign page to fill up your Aadhaar number to receive an OTP (one-time password). Proceed to make the necessary payment. 

A Sakala acknowledgement number will be generated after you complete the payment. 

How to Apply for a Family Tree Certificate Through Offline Mode?

You have to first prepare a draft in MS Word where you need to describe the family tree structure. It is essential to print this draft on a stamp paper. Then, visit a notary near you. Submit the draft printed on stamp paper along with all required documents. 

The public notary will verify any documents you have submitted. After verification, the deponent must sign in front of the notary official at a notified place. He/she will seal, sign and stamp the designated place and enter the details into the notary book. Visit the Revenue Department office, such as Tehsildar, Revenue officer, Taluk office or Nadakacheri office and submit the notarised copy of the family tree structure to get the family tree certificate.
