Step 2: Click on ‘Apply Online’. You’ll be redirected to a page where you have to insert your phone number. Enter your mobile number correctly and click on 'Get OTP'. 

Step 3: Click 'Get New Request' and choose 'Attestation of Family Tree'. 

Step 4: Select the language you wish to receive a family tree certificate— English or Kannada- and provide the requisite user details. 

Step 5: Choose the ‘Mode of Delivery’ based on whether you wish to receive it via Nadakacheri or a registered post. 

Step 6: Upload any documents required for the family tree certificate and click 'Save'. 

Step 7: Proceed to click on ‘Online Payment’. Choose the card type you wish to pay and proceed to pay. 

Once your payment has been completed successfully, an acknowledgement number will appear for further application processing. You can also obtain the family tree certificate from a Nadakacheri centre near your residence.

Seva Sindu portal

Follow these steps to apply for a family tree certificate from Seva Sindhu: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of Seva Sindhu. Navigate the cursor to ‘Department Services’. 

Step 2: Search for 'Attestation' and select 'Click Online button. Note that if you’re a new user, you must first register on this portal. But, if you’re an existing user, you can easily log in with your phone number. 

Step 3: Choose the 'Get OTP' button and click on it. Select the language you wish to obtain this certificate—English or Kannada. Provide all required user details. 

Step 4: Tick the 'I Agree' checkbox, fill up the Captcha code as provided and submit it. 

Step 5: Attach any documents required and save them. All the documents that you have uploaded will be displayed. Proceed to the next step after clicking on ‘e-sign’. 

Step 6: You’ll be redirected to the e-sign page to fill up your Aadhaar number to receive an OTP (one-time password). Proceed to make the necessary payment. 

A Sakala acknowledgement number will be generated after you complete the payment.

You have to first prepare a draft in MS Word where you need to describe the family tree structure. It is essential to print this draft on a stamp paper. Then, visit a notary near you. Submit the draft printed on stamp paper along with all required documents.
