Thus, you can find out the status of your Aadhaar card application online from the official UIDAI website. To be able to check the status of your Aadhaar card online, you need to have the following information ready with you: –
Once you have this information ready with you, you can easily perform an Aadhaar card status check online.
Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘My Aadhaar’ option and select the ‘Check Aadhaar Status’ option under the ‘Get Aadhaar’ section.
Step 3: It will redirect you to the myAadhaar portal. On the next screen, scroll down and click on the ‘Check Enrolment & Update Status’ option.
Step 4: On the next page, enter your enrolment details or SRN along with the captcha and click on the 'Submit' button.
Step 5: You will now be able to see your Aadhaar status on the screen.
If your Aadhaar card has been generated, you will be able to see the Aadhaar number on the screen and will also be able to access the links to download your e-Aadhaar or receive the Aadhaar details on your mobile phone.
If your Aadhaar card has not been generated, you will be able to see the current status of your request.
If your request for Aadhaar has been rejected, you will be able to see the reason for rejection on the screen. This would require you to revisit the enrolment centre and re-apply for Aadhaar card.
If you are not able to access the internet, you can check your Aadhaar number by calling the Aadhaar toll-free number. Follow the below steps to check the status of your Aadhaar card through mobile number:
Step 1: Call toll-free number - 1947 from your registered mobile number.
Step 2: State your Enrolment ID to the support executive.
Step 3: The support executive will check and let you know your Aadhaar status.
Your Enrolment ID is made up of 28 digits which include the 14-digit enrolment number and 14-digits of date and time details of the enrolment. Having your enrolment ID is essential to be able to check the status of your Aadhaar card online. In case you have misplaced your enrolment ID, you can retrieve it with the following steps:
Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘My Aadhaar’ option, and select ‘Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID/UID’ option under the ‘Aadhaar Services’ section.
Step 3: On the next page, enter your details in the specified fields. These details should be the same as given during your Aadhaar enrolment.
Step 4: Now, type in the captcha cope and click on ‘Send OTP’ button.
Step 5: You will receive the OTP on your phone. Enter the OTP and click on ‘Verify OTP’ button.
Step 6: You will now receive your Enrolment ID on your registered email/mobile number.
Once you receive the Enrolment ID, you can check the Aadhaar card status online.
Once you have applied for Aadhaar card update, you can do an Aadhaar card update status check online through the following steps:
Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘My Aadhaar’ option and select ‘Check Aadhaar Update Status’ option under the ‘Update Your Aadhaar’ section.
Step 3: This will take you the check status page. Now, on the next screen, enter your URN or SRN in the designated fields, enter the security code and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Now you will be able to see the status of your Aadhaar update request. If it has been accepted, you can download the e-Aadhaar online. If it has been rejected, you need to restart the online update process.
