The Government of Telangana introduced the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme, which will provide annual financial aid to landless farmers in the state. This initiative, along with the Rythu Bharosa scheme, will enhance the financial welfare of farmers and provide food security. This scheme will commence on 26 January 2025.

What is Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa?

The Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme supports landless farmers by providing Rs.12,000 annually for agricultural investment, such as fertilisers, purchasing seeds and other farming essentials. 

The Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa programme will also tackle the critical shortage of PDS (Public Distribution System) ration cards in the state. The government will issue new ration cards to families without one to ensure better food security.

• The Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme boosts the rural economy by directly transferring cash to farmers and landless agricultural families, which will inturn lead to liquidity into rural markets.
• The financial support provided under the scheme enables farmers to invest in enhanced resources such as superior fertilisers and seeds and adopt sustainable farming practices. This leads to heightened productivity and environmental preservation.

Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Amount

Under the Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme, the beneficiaries will receive Rs. 12,000 annually in two equal installments of Rs. 6,000 each. They will receive one installment during the Kharif season and another during the Rabi season.

An important date under the Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme is its launch on 26 January 2025. The roll-out of the installments under this scheme will also begin on 26 January 2025. 

Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Eligibility Criteria

The following conditions must be met to be eligible for the Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme:

• Landless farmers, landless farm labourers and MGNREGA workers who have completed at least 20 days of work in a year
• Permanent residents of Telangana
• Individuals not owning any cultivable land
• Individuals should have a savings bank account linked with Aadhaar to receive benefits via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer)
• Lands unsuitable for cultivation, such as those used for industrial purposes, mining, or real estate, are excluded

Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme application form

Currently, the official Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme application form has not been released. Once the government launches the official scheme website, applicants can download the form from the website. They can also collect the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme application form from the Gram Sabha or Panchayat office.

How to Apply for Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme?

Revenue officials will collect data in each village under this scheme to identify eligible beneficiaries. The official application process for the Telangana Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa scheme will begin soon. However, below is the expected process for applying online and offline once the official application process begins.

Online Application Process

• Visit the official Telangana Government website or the dedicated portal for the scheme.
• Click on ‘Apply’ on the homepage.
• Fill out the application form with the required details.
• Upload all required documents and ‘Submit’.
• You will receive the application reference number.

Offline Application Process

• Visit the local Gram Sabha or Panchayat office.
• Collect and fill out the application form with all required details.
• Attach all required documents along with the application.
• Submit the application, and the officials will provide the application reference number.
