Step 1: Visit the official Assam Government e-District portal.
Step 2: Click the ‘Please Create Account in State Portal for e-District Citizen Registrations’ under the ‘e-District Citizen Registration’ heading. Click the ‘Create Account’ option, enter the required details, and submit.
Step 3: Log in to the e-District citizen registration by entering the email address and password.
Step 4: Enter ‘Permanent Resident Certificate’ and click ‘Go’.
Step 5: Click ‘Online’ under ‘Apply’ and the ‘Submit Online’ tab.
Step 6: Fill in the application with the required details, upload the documents, make the payment and submit the application.
After submission of the application, applicants will receive an acknowledgement number.
How to get a domicile certificate offline in Assam?
Individuals can apply for an Assam domicile certificate by visiting the revenue department office, Common Service Centres (CSC) or the tahsildar’s office. They can collect the domicile certificate application form, fill in the details, attach the documents and submit it along with the fees to the office. The circle officer, Village Administrative Officer (VAO) or revenue inspector will verify the application and give an acknowledgement number.
