Step 1: Visit the Digital Gujarat website.

Step 2: Click the ‘Services’ tab and select the ‘Citizen Services’ option.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Domicile Certificate’ tab.

Step 4: Read the instructions and click the ‘Apply Online’ button.

Step 5: Click the ‘New Registration (Citizen)’ button when applying on the Digital Gujarat website for the first time.

Step 6: Enter the details such as mobile number, email, and password and click the ‘Save’ button.

Step 7: Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number and click the ‘Confirm’ button.

Step 8: Enter the details, such as full name and address, upload a photograph and click the ‘Update’ button.

Step 9: Enter the required details on the ‘Citizen Profile’ form and click the ‘Update’ button.

Step 10: Click on the ‘Request a New Service’ option.

Step 11: Click the ‘Domicile Certificate’ option and the ‘Continue To Service’ button.

Step 12: The ‘Request ID’ and ‘Application Number’ will be displayed on the screen. Click the ‘Continue’ button.

Step 13: Enter the required details, upload the documents, select the checkbox and click the ‘Submit’ button.

Citizens will get an SMS upon submission of the application along with the application number. 

How to Get a Domicile Certificate Offline in Gujarat?

Step 1: Visit the Digital Gujarat website.

Step 2: Click the ‘Services’ tab and select the ‘Citizen Services’ option.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Domicile Certificate’ tab.

Step 4: Read the instructions and click the ‘Download’ button.

Step 5: Take a printout of the downloaded form.

Step 6: Fill out the form, attach the documents and submit it to the Tahsildar Office or Jana Seva Kendra.

The Tahsildar Office or Jana Seva Kendra will give the application number, which is useful for knowing the application status and downloading the domicile certificate.
