To block SBI credit cards online, follow these quick and simple steps below:
Step 1: Open the official SBI Credit Card portal.
Step 2: Log in to your account using your credentials, like your mobile number or login ID and password.
Step 3: Go to Services tab.
Step 4: Navigate to the option - ‘Block Lost/Stolen Card’.
Step 5: If you have more than one active credit card, choose the card number that you want to block.
Step 6: Review the details you entered and click ‘Submit’ to send your SBI credit card blocking request.
Follow the steps below to block SBI credit cards via SMS:
Step 1: Open a new message on your phone.
Step 2: Type ‘BLOCK XXXX’ (XXXX is the last four digits of your credit card number).
Step 3: Send the SMS from your registered mobile number to 5676791.
Follow the steps below to block your SBI credit card through the SBI mobile app:
Step 1: Open the ‘SBI YONO’ app on your mobile and sign in with your MPIN.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Accounts’ tab on the homepage.
Step 3: Click on ‘My Credit Cards’ from the options available at the top of the screen.
Step 4: Next, click on ‘Block Card’ option located at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5: Choose the card number you want to block and click submit.
Besides SMS and apps, you can also block SBI credit cards with the bank’s helpline number. To block your SBI credit card by a phone call, you can follow the steps below:
Step 1: Call the toll-free number 1860-180-1290 or SBI's helpline number 39-020202.
Step 2: Dial the required digit to select your preferred language.
Step 3: Follow the instructions by IVR to register your blocking request.
Step 4: Dial 2 to report instances of lost or stolen credit cards.
After successfully registering this request, your credit card will be immediately blocked. You will also receive an SMS on your registered mobile number to notify you of the same.
