Aadhaar Latest Update
The last date for linking Aadhaar with PAN has been extended to 31st March 2020 from 31st December 2019. However, it is mandatory to link Aadhaar with PAN for filing ITR.

Ration cards are used by the individuals to get the food at a subsidized rate. However, in certain cases, an individual obtains more than one ration card due to which others will not be able to get the benefit. To overcome such cases, the government has decided to link ration cards with an individual’s Aadhaar card.
What is GSTIN?
GSTIN is GST identification number or GST number. A GSTIN is a 15-digit PAN-based unique identification number allotted to every registered person under GST. As a GST-registered dealer, you might want to do a GST Number (GSTIN) verification before entering it in your GST Returns.
There can be multiple GSTIN for a single person, being an assessee under the Income Tax Act for every State or Union Territory in which such person operates from. It becomes compulsory to obtain GSTIN when the person crosses the threshold limit for GST registration by registering himself under GST.
Unlike the previous indirect tax regime, where multiple registration numbers were present for different laws like Excise, Service Tax and VAT, it is a single registration number under GST- GSTIN.
Link Aadhaar to Ration Card through offline mode
Persons who want to link their Aadhaar card to ration card offline, then the below-mentioned steps need to be followed:
Step 1: Carry the photocopies of Aadhaar cards of all family members as well as a photocopy of your ration card.
Step 2: Carry the photocopy of bank passbook if you have not linked your Aadhaar card to your bank account.
Step 3: Also carry a passport sized photograph of the head of the family and all these documents need to be submitted at the ration Office.
Step 4: The notification will be there via SMS or email once all the documents have reached the relevant department.
Step 5: The authorities will process all your documents and the notification will appear once your ration card is successfully linked to the Aadhaar cards.
