Kotak Mobile Banking Registration

Follow the below steps to register for Kotak Mobile Banking services:

Step 1: Get your mobile number registered with Kotak Bank for mobile services.

Step 2: From the Google Play Store or the Apple Play Store, download the Kotak Mobile Banking app. You can also SMS ‘Mobile’ to 9971056767 / 5676788 to get the mobile app link on your registered mobile number.

Step 3: Open the app and enter your CRN, available on a debit or credit card.

Step 4: Login and use your Kotak Mobile Banking.

To activate your Kotak Mobile banking services, you must follow the below steps:

Step 1: Open the app and enter your CRN, available on a debit or credit card.

Step 2: After entering CRN, use your credit or debit card numbers or net banking information to authenticate your account.

Step 3: Once authenticated, set up a six-digit MPIN.

Step 4: A verification number or code will be shared with the registered cellphone number after creating your MPIN.

Step 5: To activate your Kotak mobile banking services, enter the code.

Follow the below steps to log in to your Kotak Bank mobile app:

Step 1: From the Google Play Store or the Apple Play Store, download the Kotak Mobile Banking app. 

Step 2: Open the app and click on login.

Step 3: After being routed, you will see a screen asking for your CRN.

Step 4: You will be prompted to confirm your credit or debit card details or net banking credentials if you are a first-time user. If you have already registered, you may log in using your MPIN and user ID.

  • Open the messaging option on your phone.
  • Type MPIN (space) (CRN No)

Using Physical Debit Card

  • Open to your Kotak Mobile Banking app.
  • Click on “Forgot MPIN”.
  • Enter your debit card information - card number, expiry date, card pin, and CVV.
  • Set your six-digit MPIN.
  • Click on Confirm.

Using Net Banking Password

  • Open your Kotak Mobile Banking app.
  • Click on “Forgot MPIN”.
  • Choose Net Banking
  • Enter your Net Banking password.

Kotak Mobile Banking Transaction Limit

For money transfers through the mobile banking app, below are the daily transaction limits:

  • One-time fund transfer without adding beneficiary- Rs. 1,00,000 per day. If you re-install or activate your Kotak mobile banking app or update a secondary CRN, the per-day limit will be reduced to Rs. 5,000 for the next seven days.
  • Newly added beneficiary NEFT - Rs. 25,000 for the first 24 hours.
  • Payment gateway transaction - Up to Rs. 10,00,000 per day per transaction.
  • Own account fund transfer - No limit
  • IMPS to the registered beneficiary - Up to Rs. 5,00,000 per transaction daily.
  • NEFT to registered beneficiary - Up to Rs. 10,00,000 per day per transaction.
  • RTGS to registered beneficiary - Up to Rs. 10,00,000 per day per transaction.

How to Change Mobile Number in Kotak Bank?

A mobile number is an essential point of contact between the bank and the customer, and hence, it should always be updated. Here are the steps to change your mobile number in Kotak Bank:

Through the Mobile Banking App

  • Open your Kotak Mobile app
  • Click on Service Request
  • In the Profile section, choose Mobile Number Update from the drop-down menu.
  • Select the Add/Edit link and update your new phone number.

Through Net Banking

  • Log in using your net banking details.
  • Click on Profile and then select Update contact details.
  • Choose contact details - mobile phone.
  • Click on edit and update your new phone number.
