Kotak Mahindra Bank brings in a new way to easily manage your Kotak accounts and credit cards with the latest Kotak Mobile Banking app. The app provides a wide range of banking services readily available at your fingertips. The bank has taken enough care to make your transactions secure with MPIN, fingerprint, and FaceID authentication setups.

1. How to register for Kotak Mobile Banking services?
Step 1: Open Google Play Store or Apple Store, download and install the ‘Kotak-811 & Mobile Banking’ app. Alternatively, you can download the app from the link http://app.kotak.com/.
Step 2: Open the app on your smartphone. On the home screen, enter your Customer Relationship Number (CRN). Click the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 3: Check the section below your name on your Kotak debit/credit card to find your CRN. If you do not have your card with you, send an SMS to 5676788 with the message ‘CRN’. You will receive your CRN via SMS.
Step 4: Enter your debit/credit card or netbanking details to confirm your identity.
Step 5: Set a 6-digit MPIN and re-type the same to confirm.
Step 6: An activation code will be sent to your registered mobile number via SMS. Enter the code in the app and submit.
2. How to log in to Kotak Mobile Banking app?
Step 1: Open the Kotak Mobile Banking app on your smartphone. You will see a screen where your name and the last three digits of your CRN is displayed.
Step 2: You must enter the 6-digit MPIN you have set during the registration process to access your account.
Step 3: Upon successful login, a dashboard will be displayed as given in the image below:

4. How to transfer funds via Kotak Mobile Banking app?
Step 1: Log in to your account with MPIN on the Kotak Mobile Banking app to view the dashboard.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Transfer Money’ option on the dashboard.
Step 3: You will see the ‘Payments’ page with various payments-related options available. You can also see the most recent money transfer and an option to schedule payments. Select the ‘Send Money’ option here.
Step 4: You can either ‘Add Beneficiary’ or ‘Send to My Beneficiary’.
Step 5: Consider choosing to add a beneficiary before making the transfer.
Step 6: You must select the beneficiary’s bank from the dropdown menu; enter the beneficiary account number, re-type the account number to confirm, set a nickname, enter the beneficiary name, select the account type, and click on ‘Continue’.
Step 7: The beneficiary details you have entered will be displayed for you to review before confirming. If all the details are correct, click on ‘Submit’.
Step 8: Beneficiary Activation Key will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter this key at the space provided and click on ‘Activate’.
Step 9: The details of the newly added beneficiary will be displayed as shown in the image below. If you wish to transfer money to this beneficiary account, click on ‘Transfer Now’.
Step 10: Now, you will see a screen that shows your account details on the top and the beneficiary account details next to it. Enter the amount you would like to transfer and remarks if any. Click on ‘Continue’.
Step 11: Choose the mode of transfer – NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, or Scheduled Payment. Click the ‘Continue’ button.
Step 12: Before proceeding with the transfer, you will be prompted to review the transaction details. Upon reviewing, click the ‘Confirm & Pay’ button.
Step 13: You must enter the 6-digit MPIN to authorise the money transfer.
Step 14: Upon successful authorisation, the transaction is complete. The transfer details will be displayed along with a 12-digit reference number for future reference.

The basic requirement for you to enjoy the services offered by Kotak Mobile Banking app is to have a smartphone. The app is supported by the Android operating system (version 5.0.0 onwards) and iOS (version 8.0 onwards). In addition, you must have a stable internet connection to be able to use the app.
